Power Motors Reviews

MoreDon't waste your time. Typical used car salesman/scammers.

I flew in to buy a truck that I was assured had no issues. After having to stay 3 extra days the truck still had issues beyond a quick repair. I was told it would be fixed in a week, and with oem parts. A month and a half later they finished it, and sent me a picture of a parts bill from the local auto parts store. In the midst of them repairing it, I had a friend of mine call them and ask them about the truck, which they told him was ready to go, and he could come look at it anytime. Obviously that wasn't the case, but they would have sold it out from under me, and still broke. After telling them I no longer wanted the truck, they refused to give my down payment back. No reimbursement for the extra days in a hotel, flights, and not even a ride back to the airport. I came home $2000 in the hole, with no truck. Kevin and Greg will both lie to your face. They seemed trust worthy at first, but proved not to be. . I just don't want anyone to get hosed by these guys like I did. Apparently they have a reputation locally with people that is poor as well. I talked to a few shops and dealerships around the area while I was waiting for them to fix it.

Absolutley the worst dealership I have ever dealt with.

***Power Motors Responded to my google review with numerous lies, so I figured I would clear some things up for future buyers.

The truck had issues from the first test drive. I suspected a head gasket issue, but they did not. After they swapped 3 radiators, they realized they had bigger issues. Greg did offer my refund back, but I said I wanted he truck fixed. After all, I did fly the whole way to Texas for this one. Greg told me he would fix the truck, with OEM Ford parts. He then signed a paper that said he would fix the truck, and sell it at the current price. Greg also said that whatever it needed, they would have it fixed in a week.

I left Texas, and waited for a phone call. I got text messages from Kevin about a week after I got home, saying the fan clutch needed replaced. They replaced it, but the problem remained. Then he sent me pictures of the turbo, and that they were replacing it. After that, the problem still remained. Finally, almost a month later, Kevin showed me pictures of the cab lifted off the truck, ready to do s head gasket job. Kevin then sent me a picture of a brand new head, and parts they had to buy for it. Which they did not buy from ford, and instead from "Marks Auto Supply". A little over a month after I left Texas, Kevin called ONE Time, and let me know the truck was done. They never left me several messages like they said.

Power motors said that they did a head gasket job just to make me happy. However, why would a dealership buy $1000 in parts, and take over a month to do a job that "didn't need done" ??

These guys straight up lied throughout the whole process. From the time I got there, to the time they finally got the truck fixed. I couldn't trust them, or the work they did on the vehicle. I opted not to purchase the truck, and save myself more issues with it. At the point, I asked for my deposit.

Moral of the story, save your business for someone else. If I would have seen all these reviews before I left for Texas, I would have just stayed home. You might get lucky, and not have issues. But. Take it from my review, and plenty others. Go elsewhere. A good car dealer won't have to defend so many negative reviews**

Found the vehicle on ebay, spoke to Greg Thompson on the phone and via email and he was rather attentive during the sales process but once the sale was finalized he disappeared from radar.

Truck was delayed because according to Greg the radio needed to be replaced during the inspection of the vehicle. After waiting about a week the truck finally was shipped. When it arrived it was in worse condition than the photos depicted and comments from Greg became nothing short of bold face lies. He mentioned he would have no problem putting his family into this vehicle and driving across the country. The truck was un-drivable when it arrived. After taking it to a mechanic the u-joints needed to be replaced, the key fob had absolutely NO electronics in it, just paper folded up to give the buttons some resistance. Only one key was shipped with the vehicle and the title was not in the dealerships name -- it was a reposession, meaning you cannot title it in AZ until the dealership takes title of the vehicle first.

I sent an itimized list of things that I felt Power Motors should reimburse me based on the fraudulent manner in which the vehicle was described and sold. No response. Weeks of calls to the company go unanswered.

After nearly 90 days I was able to reach a live person (Greg) and he said he had someone at his desk and needed to call me right back -- no call back.

I may not be able to register this vehicle in AZ if they do not respond. Whatever you do -- avoid this company. They are NOT trust worthy, they are NOT the kind of business that you want to do business with.
