I PURCHASE TWO IDENTICAL CHAIRS TO BE PLACED IN THE SAME LIVING ROOM. THE TWO CHAIRS ARE DIFFERENT. When I contacted Pottery Barn, they said because I accepted delivery , they are not responsible. I have a Receipt that clearly shows two Cardiff Upholstered Aimchairswith performance suede was ordered. Item # 7602741
One chair has nailheads and the other does not. . I ordered two of the same chair. I was not home and had a friend accept delivery while I was at work. This clearly was a manufacturing error but pottery barn would not stand by their merchandise.
I CANCELLED OVER THE PHONE ON 06-14-2022 AND WAS TOLD THAT I AM IN TIME THAT IT DID NOT SHIP OUT SO SHE WILL REFUND IN FULL $768.26.
SHE ONLY REFUNDED $598.13 ON 06-14-2022 AND SHE NEVER SENT ME AN EMAIL TO CONFIRM IT LIKE SHE SAID SHE WOULD DO.
I CALLED TODAY AND SPOKE TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISER AND WAS TOLD SERVERAL TIMES THAT SHE IS SORRY BUT I WILL NOT GET A FULL REFUND LIKE HER EMPLOYEE HAD TOLD ME ON 06-14-2022 BECAUSE THERE EMPLOYEES ARE TRAINING AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING SO I AM OUT OF LUCK AND SHE IS SORRY FOR MY INCONVENIENCE. SO THEY RIPPED ME OFF FOR $170.13 BECAUSE THERE EMPLOYEES ARE IN TRAINING AND DO NOT KNOW THERE JOB. SO THE CUSTOMERS GET RIPPED OFF.
I have personally spent over $7,000 on a patio sectional recently from Pottery Barn. When it first arrived the attachements to link the sectional together were made of plastic and did not engage the piece correctly. I needed the piece for a gathering happening soon and went ahead and jammed the connectors into place even though they rocked and did not engage the piece. When I called to ask about replacement pieces I was told they no longer carried the piece and they could not offer me anything. I will NEVER be buying any product from Pottery Barn again.
I purchased a faulty item from Pottery Barn and their handling of the return and replacement was disgusting. What I realize is that is it doesn't seem they care, it seems like the morale was very bad. I say this because there seems to be a lack of enthusiam in wanting to resolve the issue, not from one rep, but several reps.
I have ordered from Pottery Barn over the years on occassion and one reason I do is because they seem to have quality products. Well I noticed my last 3 orders were cheap made in China type products. So while they may project themselves as high quality, my personal experience is just the opposite and I got what I feel is rather cheap goods.
Hence you pay a high price for what should be quality and I beleive you are getting just the opposite.
Purchased furniture at Pottey Barn. As transaction was entered, cash register froze. Store entered duplicate transaction to complete transactiona dn gave me receipts etc to protest the event at the credit card company (Pottery Barn Credit Card). Despite it being their error, they left it to me to resolve with credit card company.
Now two months later have completed all appeals with the credit card company. They say they wil not do anything until Pottery Barn issues a void. Pottery Barn, store level, and even up to Coroprate Customer Service Personnel say they can do nothing. I am out over a 1000 dollars due to their error. No one willing to help fix this problem.
The kicker? because I followed the appeal process at the credit card company, they reported the appeal to the credit scoring commpanies who lowered my credit rating which increase the price of my new mortagage even though the whole thing...the case register freezing had nothing to do with me at all. Pottery Barn does not own their mistakes.
I strong suggest no one do business with them, I never will again.
