I was shocked to learn that I am a victim of racial bigotry by a Porter Airlines employee.
While travelling from Toronto to Boston during the holidays I was given an upgrade by the ticket agent. I boarded PORTER Airlines, sat in my newly assigned seat and the stewardess asked me why was I sitting in that seat (I was upgraded to the front of the PORTER AIRLINES flight). I said: "… they changed my seat …" and proceeded to show her my boarding pass - she shook her head from left to right; I then said: "… do you want me to move …" the stewardess said: " … no you're fine." I stayed in my newly assigned seat, arrived at my destination and thought nothing more of that particular incident.
Now at the airport returning home, to my surprise at check in, from Boston, I was asked to wait and stand aside, the PORTER Airline check-in agent got up, left, and returned followed by Two (2) PORTER representatives. The line behind me was relatively long. The Two (2) PORTER AIRLINE representatives then began to question me as to why I changed the seat on the boarding pass, I explained what really transpired and then I inquired what is going on, and that I travel frequently and this is the first time I have been stopped and falsely accused of anything whatsoever.
The PORTER Airline representative said that he was told to stop me, at the request of PORTER"s Corporate Security. I then continued and reiterated that, of course, I did not change the seating on the boarding pass. Once home, I contacted PORTER AIRLINES' customer service to complain, then requested the matter escalated to PORTER AIRLINES Corporate security as PORTER AIRLINES' customer relations manager, Mr. MaDonald, said he did not see there was a problem that their flight attendant lied.
Due to the PORTER AIRLINES' bigotry and RACIAL PROFILING I am now labelled, PERMANENTLY, on their records, in the passenger manifest lists, so that when I travel moving forward I have a notation next to my name. I AM A VICTIM OF RACIAL PROFILING! My reputaion has been malicioulsly damaged.
Rather than the PORTER AIRLINES stewardess do her job and due diligence and check with her colleagues whether I was authorized to sit in that seat, she lied, judged, targeted me, racially profiled me by believing that based on race and ethic background and more ... that I dishonestly crossed out the original seat I was assigned, and re-wrote a different seat on my boarding pass.
The racial bigotry does stop there, she takes it a step further and LIED on her report to PORTER Airlines, corporate security and others, that I changed the seat manually on the boarding pass, thus resulting in a bullseye to be put on my back and next to my name on the passenger manifests from now on when I travel. According to PORTER AIRLINES, I, NOW, (after travelling often for over 20 years) have a permanent label next to my name when travelling. PORTER AIRLINES' and the PORTER AIRLINES stewardess' course of action, doesn't just hurt me, the victim, but this has already had an insidious ripple effect on me the victim, and could on my livelihood, business, health and more. The first effect was seen when I unpacked my luggage, for the first time ever my luggage was rummaged through, my bottles of mouthwash were emptied, purses' inner linings cut, and more ...; obviously, in my opinion, all because of the labelling noted next to my name from PORTER AIRLINES. I AM A VICTIM OF RACIAL PROFILING by both the PORTER AIRLINES flight attendant and PORTER AIRLINES.
