Porcelanosa USA is SCAMMING customers when they buy directly from Porcelanosa Showrooms by shipping defective tiles, and refusing to replace them.
The SCAM works like this - When you buy the tiles, at the time of delivery, the ties are wrapped in plastic, so there is no way to examine the tiles without opening the plastic. They tell you you can only examine the 'outside' of the box for damages and they don't allow you to fully inspect the tiles. Then they ask you to sign, stating the tiles were delivered in good condition. To be honest, sometime this is not a problem, but there are several times when customers order tiles that have pattern, but when is delivered, as in our case, is just really defective tiles.
When you call the customer support team, they give you a song and dance, and flat-out lie about the tile...the tell you that the tile color variation is documented in the invoice - and yes, the tile color variation is documented.
What they don't tell you is, even if the tile has marks, like scratches, defective patterns from manufacturing or other defects, they expect you to throw them in the garbage. Our purchase had 30sq ft of tile defective, with patters that were even too bad to use in the garden, because there were deep scratches filled with some 'black-looking' muck that was very unpleasantly looking.
The worst part is that when you finally reaches JJim Demestichas from the Ramsey NJ HQ, the is not only a PIG, but this guy thinks you (as the customer) owe him your life, and he pretends as if you committed a crime - the way he behaves.
I also want to let you know how you can get-around and avoid this dealing with Porcelanosa and get better pricing than their showrooms.
First, do go to their showroom, and examine what you want, and use their 'consultants designer' service to pickup your tile. As them to print you out a quote, and then take the quote to your local time store, and I'm 1000% per sure , they will give you a better price than you're paying at Porcelanosa showroom. Remember Porcelanosa showroom is exactly that a SHOWROOM - and they change you a premium for buying there --- there is no reason to allow these pigs to scam customers, that is why i'm 100%sure that you can get a better price for the SAME Porcelanosa tiles at your local tile store.
