My son got arrested for driving on suspension lic. (my daughter called him to help her, being stranded) My son has suspended lic for child suport. that day he got caught driving on suspended lic and was arrested. he went in on july the 3rd 2015. They took all his personal information, including his medical, he gave them the name of all the medicines he has to take, for pancreas and liver. after two weeks I called up to the medical at the jail asking how my son was doing? The nurse asked my son name, she looked or her log and had told me that they havent been treating him. I asked why not. He informed yall that he has to have this medicine daily. I told her you need to get him to the hospital now, if you havent been giving him any meds. She said I have no idea why he isnt getting any meds and said that she will look into it. After two days gone by not hearing back from her I decided to go to the jail to check on my son. when he came out. I could not beleive the condition of my son, he looked like white as a ghost. suck in chest. gone musicle. my son looked like was was going to die in there. he told me he hasnt been getting any of his medicine till a couple of days ago but that wa only water pill not the pancreas bill what he needs. after the visit I walked over to talk to the nurse admin. she informed me my son was doing good. I said, oh no he is not, I ask them when he first got checked in , did yall do an intake information on him she said we do that for every one when they get arrested, I said do you ask if there taking any medicine now, she she reply and have them list the ones they take and the name and address of there doctor. I said do you maintain giving them there medicine while there in here. she said yes with in24 hours from the arrest. I said if thats the case, then why havent yall been giving my son any medicine that he needs, I called out here to check on him and I was told that he wasnt on the list to have any medicine. but when she pulled his record, it clearly shows, all the medicne he needed to take. I said you didnt even start giving him any meds until two days ago.after I called to check on him. and you havent even given him his pancreas med just water pill. Why is that? when he has been here over 2 weeks. I said he dont look good and you need to get him to the hospital. she said he is doing good, I told her that its wrong what yall did, he has been in there sufering, in some terrable pain for two weeks, on top of withdrall from yall having him go cold turkey not having his meds. he hasnt been able to eat for 4 days, Dr took his bolod work the day I called on the 4th. he said his pancreas level was extremely high and that he needed to be on the medicine. The dr knew then with the high level of his blood he needed to get my son to the hospital, yet didnt. I came to visit my son. 4 days laters.. he told me all there giving him was water pill. that after noon I called to check on my son, he said he's doing fine, and were giving him his meds. two days later I went back to check on my son. he told me this morning he finally got the pancreas meds. He does not look good at all. I said son you need to go to the hospital he said let me see how this meds works, at least give it a chance. I said if your not better by in the mornig to the hospital.
after speaking with the head nurse, They still didnt take my son to the hospital, and didnt give him the meds he needed till two days later from my visit.
This place has neglected to give my son proper medicial treatment. had him suffering from pian and withdrawals. refusing to pay attention when they arrest someone that has a medical problem, refuse to take him to the hospital, not giving him his meds at a timely manor. after being there two weeks, it took my phone call for them to even acknowledge he needed medical atten. not paying attn to his records. Dr not making proper call to have him hospitlize. not giving him the proper diet food that he needs. I do realize this is a jail. and they do have a medical floor to take care and to give inmates there meds, This place needs to be looked into. and check to see if these people are lic. and to have them invesgated. This is not write, and givig them old molded food.
Someone told me that she had a freind of her got arrested for suspended lic. her freind akeds them to take her to the hospital, the refused, she asked several time screaming in alot of pain, still refusing to take her to the hospital. next morning they found her dead on the the floor, holding her stomach.
This is something I am trying to avoid for my son, this is not write what they already done to him, the suffering, not giving him his medicine. refusuing to take him to the hospital. not givien his meds, after two weeks being in there. Something needs to be done. If something happens to my son after I had already spoken them and they didnt get him to the hospital. I will take further action. I need someone go and investage this place even talk to the inmates here them out. whats really going on behind close doors
