I home I own is built by Lennar who used PlyGem windows. The company PlyGem hires employees who misrepresent in writing and refuse to discuss failures to the windows. The windows have warranties and they sent me in a loop the builder. The builder has not been involved as the Window manufacturer was to handle the matter with the owner to pay for labor when the windows failed. The process took over 12 weeks with the PlyGem employee misrepresenting/ proposing that he was abused on the phone when the customer requested that the replacements of the windows be done and that I would pay for labor.
This individual which we will use the first name of Juan was who made the decision to not assist me. I couldn't get help and they blamed Lennar. This put me into a loop which now is a problem as Juan stopped responding to me as I said I would need to use the legal system to have the windows that failed replaced. The individual lied about my statements and didnt want to help so blocked communication with management and would not help. The windows were leaking and the temperatures drop at night making the house very cold at night. The measurements were provided at my expense which is what is required by warranty yet the company wanted to offer me the measurements 8 weeks later. This by far is a long time to measure the windows plus wait for the new windows to be manufactured.
The wordsmithing by Juan was classic of what a insurance company would do of deny, defer, and delay. All in the hopes that the customer goes away. The letters were sent the correspondence provided has all the information they need. Ply Gem is a large company but have given so much power to a single individual who makes the sole decision to order or move forward or provide contacts and lie it becomes a challenge at best. They are a company trying to rip off consumers and they have a written warranty to follow which they do not. As of 4 months I would not have windows unless I bought the glass. I am asking for the company to be fair and pay for the glass and I will pay for labor but that request also went unanswered.
The whole reason that Juan was upset was that I made the request for the warranty to be honored and the result was a no. Then I advised him that my escalation would be to small claims court. (This was enough where he said I insulted him and was the worst person ever.) I have documents that state he will not talk to me and that he was the nicest person in the world. (IT seriously says that language. When something is exagerated then it tends to be false) This needs attention as I have been trying to get in touch with the company before the final step which is asking for legal help. The company has nobody who helps and blaming the builder was a waste of time as they used the legal timeline for being able to not honor warranties or request. Lennar didnt help with a letter or anything asking for them to please honor the warranty from the product built.
