Beware of Mr. Plattner and his organization. I was hired as a Manager, promised a commission, and he failed to not only pay me but other employees as well. Also if you are thinking of buying a vehicle from any of his 9 locations go elsewhere. He charges the usual dealer fee but tacks on an additional $399.00 for nitrogen in the tires, pinstripes, and door guards. Not one car sold while I was there had pinstripes or door guards. And yesterday the company that leases them the nitrogen machine came and repossesed it due to non-payment. He not only is ripping off employees but customers as well. He then tells employees not to sell a vehicle to anyone who does not have an email or gives them a perfect survey. While there vendors called every day looking for payment of services. Even the Manheim Auction called demanding payment for cars Mr. Plattner bought and did not pay for. Ford and other manufactuerers discourage dealers from enticing buyers for perfect surveys but these guys do it all the time. In short, stay as far away from any Plattner dealership because you will be ripped off and for God's sake do not even consider working for this organization because you will not get paid.

I have a family member and know of people that are STILL waiting for their HARD EARNED MONEY and this DECEITFUL AND FRAUD OF DOUG PLATTNER COWARDLY HAS AVOIDED TO PAY THEM. DOUG PLATTNER avoids employee calls and LIES to them telling the employees that he will be in town this day or on the weekend and NEVER SHOWS UP TO PAY THEM!!! Employees throughout DOUG PLATTNER'S "11" dealers have had to rely on friends and family to help them survive and feed their own family.
How does DOUG PLATTNER live with himself? His dealers and his finances MUST be thoroughly investigated. DOUG PLATTNER DOES NOT conduct legit businesses. HE MUST BE STOPPED! Please help! In less than 30 days I saw over 10 employees, including regional and general managers leave. All for the same reason - Doug Plattner lies and says you will be paid a certain salary. In my case, I was straight salary in the corporate office, no sales, no performance, no commission, no bonus. I had 2 pay checks and they were not correct. Neither Doug, nor his wife, the "HR Executive", returned my calls, texts or emails. There are numerous lawsuits against this company - including one active on by the State of Florida! I saw MANY violation where customers were over charged. This is illegal and it will be reported.
Worst dealership ever. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE! They are a bunch of thiefs and incompetent people! They lie to you from the minute you walk in through the door & then if you complain they threaten your life when you complain and do not care about you. Run and do not buy from this dealership.
I went to work for Mr. Plattner after a couple of phone calls and some facetime calls. He seemed like a nice person, very accomodating and articulate. I did not do my complete due diligence in checking him out since he had 8 dealerships throughout Florida.
So I accepted the position that was offered and started doing my job. When I went to the store is was disgusting. The store looked just like it did the day it was built inside and out, excpet for all the dirt, grime, waterleaks and countless other things that were wrong with the facilities. I should have walked away right then but I believed that he wanted to make thoings right as he stated when we talked. There was nothing futher from the truth. All the stores were in this condition and every manager I spoke to had been taken advantge of one way or another.
He is a slum dealer. He buys old dealerships for a little of nothing and tries to milk them by not paying his managers or employees. He is a disgrace to the human race and to the reputable dealers across the nation.
I worked for him for many months and he paid me a small guarantee but when it came time to pay me my commission the first full month and a partial month after I quit, he sent a check for close to $400.00 when should have been close to $6000.00. I am not the firrt one to be duped by this moron. He did the same to several of my employees
DO NOT GO TO WORK FOR THIS CROOK. He will rip you off just as has the many others on her. He has over 1200 complaints from customers and employees alike. He has no respect for anyone or anything. It is all about how he can screw people over. He is not poor, heir to a fortune. He has no loyalty to anyone and would steal from his mother.
Stay away from Plattner Automotive Group, whether for employment or to service or purchase a car. It is worth the drive to where ever you need to go to stay away from this slimeball.
