Mark Wyner is a rip off artist. He will lie about the material being used for your back yard, he will cheat you, he is unreliable, untrustworthy and a criminal! Do not use Platinum pools for your backyard dreams as they will drain your bank account!
My contractor found this supposed pool expert to finish a pool on a flip in Melville, NY. Pool needed to have all new plumbing, hook up brand new pump and filter, paint and fill pool. First he was a week late getting started on the project when he agreed and understood that this was a time of essence project that was about to close. He finally shows up and spends a day digging and breaking up the pool walls to get out the old stuff. Decides he wants more money and says skimmers weren't included in his price and would send an updated bill. If you are installing all new plumbing and agree that everything will be new when did the skimmers not become a part of it? So he wasn't happy that he wasn't getting the additional money from me so he went to the renter/ homeowner and tried to shake them down for it. He was fired immediately after that and felt that he should keep a $2,000 deposit for a day of digging and destroying a pool. Apparently his day laborers get paid $250 per hour according to him so he should be compensated at that rate. I hope that this will get consumers to do their due dilligence about this man and his companies and steer clear.
