Platinum One LLC Reviews
This company is a complete scam. they claim to provide a "no credit check/no income verification" finance program for retail stores. What they offer is a complete scam. During their recruiting process and all through their training they mislead new reps and do not give them all the information needed to present the program honsetly to potential clients. They leave out important information regarding fees and charges and when you ask them to explain them to you after the client notices they give you a bunch of double talk to try and deflect the question.
Almost nothing about the program is transparent and they use a lot of misleading lingo to try and hide fees and terms of the contract. For example, they do not use the word "interest" when referring to the cost of the loan. Rather they use "Warranty Fee" to sidestep the lending guidlines in each state. They "claim" the Warranty Fee is 37.95% on the 12 month program but there are additional fees that equal about 68% in the end. Additionally there is a required "down payment that can equals a claimed 25% (on the 12 month program) but what they don't tell you is that it's 25% of the total amount including interest. So for example if you wanted a "cash advance" (that's one of the terms they use to sidestep local lending guidlines) of $1000 the total amount of the loan including the Warranty Fee (interest) would be over $1600. And the 25% down isn't equal to 25% of the original loan amount, it's 25% of the total including interest so over $400 rather than the $250 the merchant was told when they signed up for the program.
They completely mislead you during the training videos and then if they get caught they try and blame it on the local rep they assign to you for training and fire them to avoind taking the blame themselves.
So not only is it misleading and dishonest to the sales rep, it's also designed to mislead the client into signing a 48 month lease for around $200 per month. If I were a merchant or someone looking for a potential career with Platinum One I would avoid doing ANY kind of business with them at all.
