Pinnacle Learning Institute Reviews

  • Nov 15, 2017

In May of 2016, I contacted Pinnacle Learning Institute to learn to do on-line work as I had recently retired totake care of my husband, a disabled veteran.

In July of 2016, my husband took critically ill and was hospitalized for most of July and August of 2016...and it has been downhill since. I am the sole caregiver and every waking moment is taking care of him, getting him to appointments, taking care of him medically (I am a retired RN), and trying to make the best of his status. He is in and out of the VA Hospital plus he is now on dialysis.

When I realized that my time was not going to be 'my time'anymore, I contacted Pinnacle Learning Institute to let them know I could not continue. I had taken 4-5 telephonic sessions. I was unable to complete any part of the course and have not been able to resume. I asked for my money back since I did not complete nor would I be able to complete the course. We need to money desparately but my plea fell on deaf ears.

I could go on and on. My last contact was 12/17/2016 with Robert Sisk who sent me a document releasing me....that was it!

Pinnacle Learning is apparently in the business of setting up Individuals as Internet Businesses acting as "middle-men" between Companies like Amazon and E-Bay and Customers. My first contact with them was in late January 2017. I was calling around investigating on-line Business for additional Income. I do not remember whether I called Pinnacle or they called me but my feeling is that they called me. After an initial call, I was called again by a person, I believe his name was Shawn, who went into some detail as to what the Details of their program was. It was explained that I could spend as much or as little time as I wanted to on it and Income was only limited tp the time you spent. Nothing at this point indicated that there was any outlay of Cash on my part at all as I would be actually acting as a middleman between Amazon and the Consumers.

It was explained that there would of course be some costs for such things as setting up a Web Site and it was asked that share some of the cost ($2000) with them. I explained that I was not in a position to "come up" with that amount. It was at this point that the thought of getting a Credit Card from Discover came up (a thought that as brought up by Pinnacle). To this point, everything sounded "doable". I got the Credit Card ( a Discover It Card), charged $1500 on it and charged the remaining $500 to my Debit Card on February 7, 2017. In return, I gained access to their Training web site (ecommuniversity.com) which explained the steps needed to start with Amazon. It was at this point I began to have second thoughts. The first step was to choose which of Amazon products I wanted to be involved with. It was a very involved process including determining which products Amazon had approved and research as to which products were selling better than others. This is where meetings with a Mentor was supposed to come into play. I also received a Notebook, a flash Drive, and a Pen. The first meeting was scheduled with a person named Austin was scheduled for 9 February 2017 which for some reason was not done and was re-scheduled for 10 February. It did take place but, to me, was not really productive. I had a major concern about who paid for the Inventory which for some reason never did get answered. After this initially scheduled meeting,

I do not remember talking with Austin again. I delved into the training site several times and began to see that the Program was really one for Retail Management and not the Industrial selling I had been involved with for 35-40 years. Also, several items came up that involved Cash outlays on my part that were not involved in our original discussion. I determined that this Program was not the one for me. I drafted an E-mail (text Below) to Pinnacle explaining that my Background was in Industrial Sales and not Retail Management and that I did not believe I nor the Program was a good fit. I explained that I would not be pursuing the opportunity and would like at least some of my money back. After a very contentious conversation with a Gentleman named Roger, who told me my Money had already been spent I simply let the situation stay until you contacted me. I also returned the Notebook, Flash Drive and Pen to Pinnacle. Please let me know what the situation is now. Jim Wallace
