Parents need to beware or The Pinnacle Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
This school and it's deceptive operators will song and dance you into believing they're a great learning place and how they follow the Florida State Education Curriculum. Do not believe it for a second.
They do not provide the proper classes as per the grade level equivilent for a standard public or charter school. The administrators will feed you a line about how they "adjust" the classes for the benifit of the student. Do not buy into it! If you try and move your student to a regular school from there he/she will be way behind and either will have to repeat the grade or take so many extra on-line courses it would make your head spin. Their goal, you see, is to get you wrapped up in their web of deceit so the only recourse is to attend their school again the next year. Pretty slick operation I must say.
Their promises to provide all types of extra services like tutoring and special attention is all part of the game. You will NOT receive any of these things. Now, get ready for this, you MUST also attend their summer school in order to get credit for the grade the student has just spent the entire school year in. Oh yes, let's not forget that they make the high schoolers baby sit the kindergardeners once a week and play games with them. Funny, I did not see that in the State's mandatory classes.
Stay away from this place before you get sucked into their drain hole of a school and if they rebut this with some song and dance, well that just proves my point even more.
