I ordered a custom piece, July 26th 2020, for my event, August 23, 2020. I sent a picture as well as specific instructions on what I wanted. I paid a deposit (via Bank of America) and was expecting my item a week prior to my event, in which she charged a "rush" fee!
I received a call, 3 days before my event and she stated someone had gotten COVID. Thank God I had to switch my event to the following Sunday (August 20, 2020) due to personal reasons. I told her and she PROMISED my piece would be to me by Wednesday and someone would call so I can pay shipping. Red flag number 1. I paid $400 and the shipping is not included because now I have to expedite the shipping because she did not finish my item. Wednesday came and no one called to get the address to send my item.
I called and they told me they JUST finished and now I have to pay for next day shipping. I paid for the shipping and they told me it would be there Friday, before 10. I said ok. I was not trying to make an issue out of it, I just wanted what I purchased. I sent her the balance, which they asked for via cashapp (red flag number 2), so they could send me package. The next day, they send me another tracking number, with a later delivery time. That ruined my entire day because I had to sit and wait for the pacakge. Missed a day of work because of their untimely and unprofession acts.
I received the outfit and its the WRONG color and it was POORLY made. It was uneven and the seams were coming apart already. I immediately call the shop, no answer! I then sent a message to the owner (Tiffany) via instagram, because that is where all of our interactions have been. I alerted her that someone needed to call me asap! She proceeds to tell me she cant call because she is in a doctors appt. I then told her she sent me the wrong color. She apologized, but at that time, I wanted my money back! At this point, its a day and a half before my event and i have nothing to wear. I then asked for a refund! She INSISTED she had something for me in pink at her shop and she would sent me pictures and alter to what I originally wanted. Not one time did she say, she doesnt give refunds. We THOROUGHLY went through what I wanted AGAIN. All via Instagram. She finally sends me a picture of a piece, in the color I wanted and said she could alter it and have it ready by that evening. She didN NOT tell me it was not the same material. I had someone pick it up for me and by time they got home and saw it, she Facetimed me and showed me the POORLY thrown together piece. I said I would wait to try it on and just to make sure.
I get the piece the next day (August 29) and it is HORRID and Aestically unpleasing. The item is DIRTY like she was dragging it on the ground (which she told me to wipe off with a makeup wipe). The pants, which were supposed to be shorts, was uneven. This is not what I paid $400 for. I then call her again, with no answer, I go back to Instagram. I sent her a picture of the item and she proceeeds to then tell me she would give me a store credit and refund me my shipping. Absolutely not! I no longer want to do any business with you, but most importantly, these errors were made by the owner. I needed this outfit for a specific event.
I had a friend return BOTH pieces and she still refused a refund. Unfortunately, she blocked me, so I took it to social media. Since, I have heard 4 different stories about her unprofessionalism and lack of delivering whats promised. She has done this to a lady the day of her wedding, she also did this to a group of bridesmaids the week of the wedding. I was going to chalk it up as a loss, until someone commented and said she did this a group of teenage girls on their prom. So this is what you do??? I am a small business owner and the last thing I wanted to do was go through all of this to tarnish a black owned business, during a time like this.
I only want my money back. I could see if I received it and I didnt personally like it, but she gave me NOTHING I asked for, even after trying to work with her.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS SHOP. I placed an order and they sent me something completely different from what I order and the measurements weren't correct... even after two alterations... not to mention I paid for rush delivery and it still took almost 3 months for me to get my items! I got a store credit because I was tired of them trying to fix their mess (I mean mistake). I tried to use my store credit and it didn't work.
I had to email back and fourth several times to get the code to work (finally). Placed an order using my store credit and it took MONTHS (4) to receive my order. When I finally received my order the items did not fit (AGAIN) and I was missing items in my order. For as much as she charges the clothes should be of better quality, on time, and to the specified measurements.
My experience was awful and now I understand why they only offer store credit. Maybe my experience would have been different if I had thousands of followers on Instagram or actually went into the store make my purchases. I wish I would have read the reviews before placing an almost $500 order. Please save yourself the trouble.
