Terry Phillips purports to be a landscape maintenance person. He has a lot of his ducks in a row to set people up to trust him until they give him their money and he disappears. For example, he was smart enough to get a business license so his business would be picked up by the Better Business Bureau. It's easy to mess up and call them for a resolution before entering a review of the business. The BBB doesn't allow one to do both. So, once you've entered a complaint, Mr. Phillips shows up with a bogus receipt book as "proof" he always gives a receipt and without a receipt, there's no proof of a transaction. He deliberately targets desperate senior citizens who are more likely to trust or be in a bind needing overgrown yards cut back lest problems with homeowners insurance or reverse mortgages crop up. He does a lot of con artist typicals to get his target to trust him including showing them receipts from people supposedly nearby that he's supposedly done business with. He doesn't offer an actual reference, though. He also visits neighbors when overgrowth extends from one yard into another, looking for permission to cut back the brush. This makes him look more professional too. Once he has the target's money in hand, you never hear from him again and all calls go straight to voicemail with no return call. Stay away from this guy and warn all of your senior citizen family to stay away from him.
