I got a new dog and I did not know what kind of food he would like. The manager turned me on to some different foods. He told me, "don't worry, if you dog will not eat it, you can just bring it back for a full refund"

So 3 weeks later i returned with one of the 3 bags of food i purchased.

The manager, a guy with really long hair said, I could not return it.

The jerkey manager gave no other explination.

Another customer was there at the same time complaining about dangerious toys they carry that dogs can choke on. The lady lost her dog choking on one of the toys made by Petco. The manager was rude.

I have two dogs, Isabelle and Willy. On January 4th I made a grooming appointment for Willy for January 6th and Isabelle on the 10th.

On January 5th I confirmed it. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from Jamie the assistant store manager cancelling my appointment. I asked about rescheduling him for this Friday (7th), she told me she could not do that because she wasn't in grooming and she did not know if they had availability.

I asked her several questions - even asked if they could fit Willy into the schedule with Isabelle. She kept arguing with me. I asked to speak to the grooming manager - she wasn't there. Eventually Jamie hung up on me after we had a back and forth about the pandemic, and being shortstaffed. I am very tired of hearing this and I expressed this. To which point, she said "well sure the pandemic is all my fault!" and hung up on me.

I called back and asked for the District Manager information. The guy that answered transferred me BACK to Jamie where we had another conversation, I told her if she hung up on me again, I would come to the store and talk to her in person (meaning I would go to the store and TALK to her in person). During this call, she suggested I apply for a grooming position. I suggested she transfer to grooming.

We also moved Willy's appointment for the 6th to Isabelle's appointment for the 10th. Today I called and spoke to Carol the grooming manager, who informed me that since it is now a conflict between me and Jamie (her claiming I threatened her), I can't bring my dogs in until its resolved. That's awesome customer service right there. I am still waiting for this district manager to call me. I am very upset, I have been bringing my dogs to PETCO FOR YEARS, I spend a lot of money at this store. I just needed my dogs to be groomed.

Note that this is not the first time that they have just been unilaterally cancelled due to this store's lack of staff.

I want my dogs groomed and then I'll find another groomer.

At the time I had a seven-month-old puppy who needed full grooming which was to include bath, nails, and hair cut. I was told that they would contact me when the puppy was ready to be picked up. Several hours later I received a phone call indicating that the puppy was rated be picked up. When I went into the Petco grooming section I sat minutes waiting for someone to come to the desk to take care of me. No one arrived at the front desk and I was the only person sitting in the grooming office.

I then went out into the store and asked them if there was anybody in the grooming department in the store clerk indicated that they are real busy and eventually somebody will get to you. I went in there and sat another 15 to 20 minutes and still nobody came to the desk to inquire what I needed. I then went back out to the store clerk and asked for the manager. The manager went into the grooming department and came back and apologized saying that they had already left for the day and left my bill on the counter there in the puppy in a bin.

They did not cut her nails or her hair. They only shampooed and brushed her out but I was still charged the full price for complete grooming. This store is a total ripoff and I will never go back to them and I have referred other pet owners I know not to go to Petco for any type of grooming.

I needed a SureFlap Microchip Pet Feeder, which retails at $149.99 so I searched the Internet for any deals. I found one at Petco.com on July 16th; it turned out to be the last day of their Black Friday in July sale and they were offering them at $30 off. They were shown as in stock so I quickly put in my order. It was accepted as order # 13253068221760. I was charged $119.99 plus I believe Ohio sales tax.

I heard nothing until going an online notice on July 25th that my oprder was cancelled as they were out of stock. Thisis a pretty shabby way to do business, and any reputable company offers a rain check at the slae price. Not PETCO.

I sent Mr. Tariq Yassan, PETCO's chief marketing officer, a letter with my complaint on July 25th. He never answered me.

I had never patronized PETCO before and was thinking of checking out their prices ast our local store in comparison to the other pet stores but not now. They can forget me as a customer because of this incident.

6/23/2019 Petco Corp. I am writing the Petco Corporate in reference to your location at Towne Blvd in Franklin Ohio & the disreputable practice that this store & your corporate office has taken in reference to not refunding the deposit given this store by my elderly parents on a fixed income to simply train a beloved but unruly Black Lab from jumping on people & to simply be led on a leash.

My parents were not able to attend these training sessions, so their pet went untrained. This location clearly stated that they would refund my parents their deposit when they presented their receipt. They did return to the store with their receipt only to be spun to your corporate office for resolution. Your office agreed the money should be refunded in full but Corporate referred my parents back to the store to no avail?

I personally went to this location in behalf of my elderly parents yesterday & notified the Store Manager of my complaint & demanded that the store honor their refund by Friday June 28, 2019. I recorded my conversations with the Mgr. & the cashier with their knowledge so that no account of my statements or theirs could be misconstrued.

This pet in question has been given away to new owners since my elderly parents could not safely maintain or properly care for and provide the great home their beloved pet deserved that your trainers could not train? My son, a Marine, has worked with a company that trains dogs on bomb detection for Law Enforcement & has went to School specifically for expert knowledge in Dog Training, unfortunately he lives out of state so hence the need of your stores services.

I’d like to make mention of various Television shows that prove abandoned dogs can be trained without an owner & then given homes with total strangers that simply receive an already trained dog. I myself have personally owned an advertising bus in the past & fully understand power of media when exploited for a particular purpose.

This story can be a great human interest & animal welfare production: After June 28, I will retain Legal representation at great personal cost in behalf of my parents to acquire their full refund in cash & only cash along with whatever costs said Legal representation incurs. In addition, I will establish a new business designed to specifically target your organization as my first account to assure that your bottom line nationwide suffers greatly.

Like the stench of smoke my outreach with local & national media campaigns will linger for years to come! I am sick of the disreputable practices of so many organizations including yours that I will pick up the Cross to assist my parents & others like them as an everyday enterprise to combat disreputable practices by mismanaged, fraudulent corporations including yours.

I hope that we can immediately resolve this matter & refund my parents their deposit in full & in their possession by Fri, June 28, 2019. Store in question: Petco 3464 Towne Blvd Franklin, OH 45005 (513) 422-7641

I had purchased a harness and leash for my niece and when she got her dog the following week it was to large. So I bought her a new one, and when I went to return the one that didnt fit they tried to put money on to a prepaid card rather than a store card, now they refuse to make the return that didnt go through right so im out $80 and the harness and retractable leash.

Petco has a two-tiered deal, PAL rewards (for on-site discounts at their stores), and on-line ordering.

Online looked good as a sign-up.

Discounts, and 20% off on your first on-line order.

On-line code did not arrive in my in-box in a timely manner, so I went ahead and ordered a solid amount of cat food on-line. Decent price, but so not as good as using the 'welcome20' code that would have knocked 20% off.

Almost as soon as I hit 'confirm' on my order, the discount passcode arrives.

I call Petco customer service IMMEDIATELY, and the service agent is polite, but not knowledgeable.

Asks around, and comes back with some version of 'sorry Charlie', you are out of luck, you placed your first order, and we can't have you use the 'welcome20' code. But hey, when you order another $100 of merchandise, we can give you $5 off....

Really? REALLY??

In SUM, they LIE. They lie in wait, and send a passcode after you order;

They lie, and lie in wait, by pretending to 'give' you a future break (far more lame than any other outcome).

Avoid ANYTHING except the most BASIC transactions with the crowd, and for the love of your own sanity, do NOT BELIEVE anything they tell you on-line.

I was caught up in a charging double on purchases over a week ago. i went to petco to make a purchase that was $160 and turned into $320! i am being told by the manager that it is being sent to the audit dept and cannot tell me how long this is going to take! it is more than obvious that 2 purchases for the exact amount one minute apart is a mistake that i should not have to pay for by having my money kidnapped from me. it has been over a week and no return of my stolen money yet!. I have no problem with the manager and employees of this petco but i was a petco customers for over 10 years and now i will never step foot in theris stores again!
