Last year I purchased a PUG PUPPY from a gentleman in Maryland who took the dog to a animal delivery service called Pet-Express. Mr. Peter Nobert contacted me and told me to send $260.00 to Wal-Mart through money gram and that he would take his fee off the top and the gentleman would get the rest. So I did just that and 2 days later he calls me up to tell me he needs $230.00 more he is stuck in Missouri at customs with my PUPPY. I asked why he replied they want you to pay for the shot records and regristration now then they can come straight to your door with your puppy. I know that they do not have a customs in Missouri. I knew then it was a ploy to get more money out of me . When I mentioned I needed a physical address to pick the PUPPY up in person he would not give it to me. There was not a PUPPY and there was a customs to pick the PUPPY up from.
I was buying a dog, and the dog was to be shipped up here when I got an email to follow. I did my research and found indeed this is a scam. Luckily I never sent money, but I did send money to buy the dog which I have not got and for which I have not got a refund. Here is the body of the email with my name omitted:
After checking your delivery we realized that you need to insure your puppy in order to receive her to your delivery address.
Due to a good number of complaints by clients about the Insurance Scheme, The Management of Royal Pet Flyers board in collaboration with the U.S Financial commission, we came out with a Partial Refundable Insurance Scheme, which provides for the following:
1) Basic annual cover: 'per condition, with time limit' - $609 where 95% will be Refunded
BEST FOR: One-off injuries, small surgery after accident, short-term illness such as a mild skin condition
2) Mid level cover - 'per condition, no time limit' - $700 where 97% will be Refunded
BEST FOR: One-off injuries, surgery, short/medium-term illness
3) High level cover - 'lifetime policies' - $899 where 99% will be Refunded
BEST FOR: Long-term illnesses such as diabetes, arthritis or some cancers that require constant regular treatment.
As per the Insurance Scheme, the Management of custom pet care service board in collaboration with the American Petfly commission, brings to you the Partial Refundable transportation Insurance fee, which provides for the following:
* You are bound to use our Refundable Insurance Scheme to insure your delivery before an Insurance document can be issued permitting freight forwarder in charge of shipping to carry forward with the delivery of your package.
* After the insurance fee is paid, the shipping company in charge of delivery of the package, must provide a fully refundable receipt , which will entitle the client to a full refund of the money paid for insurance cash or cheque upon delivery after a percentage of the amount have been deducted as insurance bill.
*The insurance fee paid by the client, must be fully refunded cash upon delivery of package or any other method deemed suitable by the client, but this should not exceed 24 hours .
*If anything should happen to the package during delivery after this insurance fee has been paid, the Shipping company shall be fully liable for all expenses and extra compensation.
From the above rules and regulations, we came to a conclusion that the delivery cannot proceed except the fully refundable insurance fee is paid for.
So you are requested to make a choice and pay any of the above sum 1 ,2 or 3 (NOT NEGOTIABLE) and indicated percentage of the money will be deducted as insurance bill while a balance will be refunded back to you alongside your package upon arrival probably in the next 24hours.

I purchased a puppy from a woman in MD for 600.00.The message she wrote me back for inquireing about her puppies was almost indentical to the one shown as spam users.Little did I know that then. All set up for delivery on Monday after I sent her the 600.00 via Western Union. Also the person picking up the money was a different name.I questioned her about this. She said it is one of her Maidens. What??
She informed me the flight agent will contact me with the details on my puppis arrival. Again she said no name of the co. Which confused me. I got the message from them and they informed me I must pay 970.00 for the puppies insurance. I didn't belive this and questioned the breeder. Few minutes later the agent called me. His english was so bad I could only get a couple words. The red flag was so apparent now I did not wire him the money.
I messaged MrsHamilton, aka the breeder asking her for my 600.00 back. Told her the flight agency is a scam. I haven't heard from her since. I also checked the email address on the agency and it keeps coming up as a scam. At least I was smart enough to not pay the 970.00 but stupid enough to pay the 600.00 for a cute puppy that doesn't exist. I am reporting this in hopes of preventing this to happen to another trusting soul like myself.
I got in contact with a lady, selling a congo african grey parrot. we spoke for 2-3 days, so she seemed legit enough. I went ahead with the purchase of this bird. She had put me in contact with a certain shipping company, witch gave me some prices and explained what and when the bird would be shipped to me. As the next few days went on there were more and more unexpected expences that occured, i was told that a portion of these expenses would be refunded to me when the bird was to be delivered. they asked for a copy of my id for delivery purposes so my refundable money in check form would be delivered to the right person. as now being the 5ifth day after the bird was supose to be delivered to me, i phoned this company and was asking alot of questions about the situation. The person on the phone couldn't give any info to me except a bunch of misdirected lies and always changing their story of what had possibly gone wrong. after contacting the original seller of the bird, she told me she was concerned for the welfare of her bird, and has also been in contact with the shippers. So as i new i had been played for my money I went back on line looking up adds for other parrots of the same kind just to see what i found, and to my suprise, her add was back up selling the same bird that i had almost just purchased. so i got in contact with her and asked about it, and was told that she got her bird back and was reselling it to someone else. i advised her of why it would be a bad idea to do that. not to sat the least, but that was the last time i have heard from either the seller or this shipping company. and i'm out alot of money also.
