Performance Golf Zone Reviews
I'm another victim of foolishly assuming I could let this company use my credit card information for a couple of onetime purchases only to find out from my bank account they had started hitting me with an unauthorized recurring $19 charge on my card.
My bank advised me the simple way to stop them is to cancel my current card and apply for a replacement with a different card number. It's a bit of a hassle but it'll cut Performance Zone Golf off at the pockets.
After purchasing what I thought was a onetime purchase of Golf instruction Video, this company signed me up for a monthly subscription without my knowledge. I had a feeling that they were going to do this, so I contacted them within minutes of my purchase to confirm I was making a one-time purchase and not a monthly subscription. They did admit that that is exactly what they intended on doing under the auspices of fine print that I never saw hidden in a long agreement.
The person that I spoke with on the phone assured me that they would remove me from this subscription, and I would not be charged anything further. They then followed it up with a email confirming it. Approx. 2 weeks later, I saw that my credit card was charged the monthly fee that they assured me was canceled. I had a bad feeling about this company after listening to their relentless hard sell tactic that they use when you purchase the instructional video. I also saw many other complaints about this company after I made the regrettable purchase.
My advice is to stay away from this company.
It seems like the new way of marketing is to sell you something cheap on a monthly subscription but make it harder than giving a haircut over the phone to cancel. This company is the poster child of that exact "business" approach. You can sign up on line, give your cc and allow them to charge you each month but just try to cancel.
There is no place on line to cancel. The online chat says they can't do it for "security reasons"...REALLY? I can't imagine what "security" issues there would be in cancelling something as life sustaining as an on=line golf training. So they ask you to call a number to cancel. Guess what? They don't answer. It goes right to voice mail and they say they will call you back. Maybe they figure you will tire of jumping trough hoops and get tired of waiting and just keep letting them ding your cc each month.
