Motor blew on my 2006 Saturn Ion (refered to as car)
I got on the internet to get me a new motor for car. I began looking on internet and got many calls from all over but, callers sounded like same garage. At 1:15PM I had a talk with a Jerry Nobel (202-%%8-0126). CALL:Sat 1:19pm 16 mins and 12 sec. All calls are recorded on his end. Transcripts are there, I have length of each transcript. He informed me with VIN he had a motor for me.
I began with "how much?" Jerry replied, "$900." I told him it was to high and I could get a motor for $700. He said wait. I have a motor that is ready to go now but it is $750, but assured me it only has 42,000 miles. Next I asked about shipping. My second question and he said it was included to a business address. I told him I had no address to give him. By the time we (did) work it out I would take it off with a cherry picker. I also asked him to include the motor mileage of 42,000.
It was 55k 64k and 72k but not the one he said and I noted it to him. This stayed but,he finally relented I DID Not have to have a business address and shipping was free. He tried to add anotheer $50 for a disposal and said he would pay it out off agreed price. There were 3 missed calls from him on my end before I called with a question. The ageement said he could add onto my Visa card for shipping costs and any additional, so I called Jerry. CALL: Sat 1:51pm for :38 secs. On this call J---y told me "we have agreed to it, it is alright, you can sign now, it is safe." I did sign and sent back on e mail a signed copy.
I waited till Tuesday 9/28/2021 and had no tracking or calls so I called Performance Auto Part. I talked with someone at CALL: Tue 08:44am for 18:34 secs. I asked where tracking was and was told motor was still in car, so probable 14 days from now. I got louder and told him it was supposed to be sitting out and ready to ship per sales. He argued and told me he could not help me. I told him of talk with Jerry and was told that isn't my problem, We argued some more and I told him I was going to cancel payment. He told me it was a 375 dollasr restock charge for a motor still in a car.
I told him it would be on my bank end not his. He finally told me that I would have a motor by this weekend. I did tell him I have been lied to so many times I did not believe him. I told him I needed tracking today or I would cancel (and already said how.)
Still no track as of CALL: Tue 4:03p 6 min 45 secs and got a different CS rep. He told me about 14 days. I started with what I was told earlier. He could not help me he said ande kept saying "don't worry, it is alright. We will fix it."
CALLed tue 4:47pm 2 min 54 sec. Called Jerry and wanted to know why he promised me all this they did Not do. He said I called his boss and got him in trouble so now I had to pay additional $300 for shipping. We had more words then I hung up. I got a call back right away CALL: tue4:50p 3mins 57 secs. The call was from Don Broscoe (Jerry's boss.) He wanted to know the problem and we Did work all previous calls out 100%. Don informed me I would receive my car motor in 8 to 10 days. I really thanked him and told him I wish I had talked to him first. Then at 7:15pm I got an e-mail as per company policy I had cancelled the order and would pay a $375 stocking fee. I e-mailed back on Tuesday night and told him I did Not cancel this order, also got a receipt for half money but no money.
I am retired with fixed income and took money out of bank in good faith and lost part of my savings and have not enough money to get another car motor
