I bought a water filter from Home Depot online made by this company Perfect Water Technologies. It seemed to have good ratings on Home Depot's site, but those are obviously fake. Honestly the water to my tap does not taste good, but it is much better than after installing the water filter that I paid $600 for. I had a professional instal the filtration system from Perfect Water Technologies and they told me the reason that the water tastes so terrible is because the filters are made in China and repackaged in the USA. He told me the whole system is probably $20-$30 and just repackaged. The taste and odor from the water is typical of these types of filtration units from China. What is really amazing is that somehow this company is getting away with saying they are the manufacturer and everything is made in the USA (and worse yet Home Depot allows it). I quickly returned my water filter unit and purchased a different brand at half the price elsewhere and ended up with delicius water and no odor.
Perfect Water Technologies is a middle man that changes packaging and jacks up prices. I can't understand how they can import units from China that are not regulated that provide drinking water to people. I would bet that these units have toxic elements in them that are poisonous or unhealthy for human consumption. Who knows what they are doing in China? I bet there are trace amounts of Mercury.
