Purchased a vehicle at end of October along with an extended warranty. Several weeks later received the warranty card and info which is more than half less the time and mileage signed in our agreement. On every day calls are made the switchboard is guaranteed to drop your call at least once as you try finding someone to help you. No one follows up as discussed after allowing them the time to look over things. I have spoke to most of the finance department along with new vehicle customer service department and have gotten nowhere on receiving an resolution or follow up. Disappointed in how the purchase went and almost walked away during the financing, should of listen to my gut and went elsewhere. Maybe the football game the sales department was playing on showroom floor as I sat waiting during my attempted purchase for help been the red flag of how things are managed at this dealership. This place hasn't been the same since Pat Hickey took over Sunset Ford and became Peoria Ford.
Called Peoria Ford to ask if they accept RoadLoans.com approvals and they didn't say no, but they said come on in, we usually beat what you have approved, as we deal with many many finance companies. I explained that I had been declined before, but that this company, RoadLoans.com had approved me and that I wanted to use them, but wouldn't be adverse to their beating my approval % and downpayment...etc. I told them I had only $300 to put down, but with RoadLoans, that wasn't problem as long as I stayed within the $15,000 approval loan amount, and stayed within their year built and mileage restrictions. This was all said to the Used Car Manager. He convinced me to come in, which required me to take a bus from a far distance, but to make a positive comment, their salesman did come get me from about 1.5 miles away at the mall near by, as the busses didn't go past the mall. The salesman is not the issue in my complaint. He didn't make any promises that he couldn't keep. But the Used Car Manager and the Company for having him in their hire, are who I am complaining about. Long story short, they couldn't get me approved without more down that what I told them I could put down....prior to this the down payment on the car I picked and the offer and contract I signed, was with no money down. Their attempt was to make me really want this car, and come up with the money. Told finance man asked me, "Can you get if from a friend or family member."
My point I gave them the full details of what I could do, with an approval for a loan, with the documents in hand, and they wouldn't even acknowledge the approval....and why this is, since I worked for a dealership, is because they make money on financing, in addition to gap coverage for a loan and extended warranties.
Need to watch these people, and any dealership that says they can out do the the other guy, weather it is price, financing, etc.

I went car shopping, and went to Peoria Ford because I hear all this talk on the radio 104.7 Kiss FM that Pat Hickey takes care of his customers. I went in and met Mr. Hickey and I told him what I heard about him on JonJay & Rich radio and I was hoping he could help me get the best deal for me and my daughter. He was very friendly and assigned a salesman Cody to me, stating he was gonna ensure I get a great deal and might mention me on the show with the radio station. Mr. Hickey was very Positive and approachable and I felt good about trusting what he said to me. I went in wanting a new car for my daughter and myself if the payments were affordable. Bottom line, I was excited because at first I took the car on a test drive and of course, its new and great. I still told Joey that I did not want the deal if I had to have a co-signer. I did take the car home and went over the figures, I am being charged over 29,000 for a Focus 2015, I did have a trade in, but was only given 2500 for it but I still owe 7000 on it. But the Focus was only suppose to be 17,000. the next day I called Joey and let him know that My daughter will not be co-signing and I want to get my car back, I thanked him for all his help. I still have the Focus, I have been to the dealership 5 times and still unsatisfied with the deal, I have had this car since 18 jan 2016 and keep getting the run around from Joey. He said at first my car was sold so I had to buy the Focus, then later he stated it was to late to get out of the bullpen. Later he was very rude and disrespectful to me, telling me it was the LAW, I had to now buy the car, I just want my car back. I do not want to feel bullied into getting a car for this price. I have been asking to please have Mr. Hickey call me, I hope that he will get my car back for me, That is all I am asking.
