My Story is a long one, so I will keep it somewhat brief and to the point. I purchased a used Ford Expedition from this dealer, which happened to be a personal trade in from a manager that works there. From day one I experienced problems, after problems after problems. When I bought the truck they sold me an oil change package and extended service warranty, which they made very clear their technicians there were capable of repairing a Ford even though they are a Dodge dealership.
So I bought it, and boom...problems! This car is a complete lemon, and as I write this review its actually at their shop being repaired for the 8th time in less than 3 months. It has been in the shop for the same issue with the A/C over 5 times, and now the air bags have gone out in the rear of the truck making it completely inoperable. I have driven rental cars from Enterprise more than I have had my own vehicle!
Besides all of the problems, I am self employed so all of the hours of going back and forth and taking the car to the dealer and getting shuttled around have cost me a LOT of money! I am not "on the clock" when I am there, sitting/waiting, and most of the repairs have left me without a vehicle.
I plan on talking to a lawyer this week in regards to their negligence on the repairs, false claims of being able to repair a non Dodge vehicle, and lies from the manager who sold us the truck about the condition and quality of the vehicle. I am also reporting them to the Bureau of Automotive Repair, as they actually made my problem worse by lack of knowledge of proper repairs.
I now cry when I think about my "new to me" car that I spent a lot of money on purchasing, and took a long time to find. It makes me sick and sad and I have completely given up all hope of it being a safe/reliable vehicle.
I hope that I can help one person stay away from this dealership with my words, I am so beyond frustrated and done that at this point in time I hope I can at least help others. Buying a car is supposed to be a fun and enjoyable experience, and I have spent more time crying about it than I have smiling!
And don't ever tell anyone it's "just a car" and not worth crying about, when you are self employed and only own one vehicle its not just a car! It's a mobile office, its a meeting place, its transportation, and its my lifeline...do not discount how important a car can be to someone.
