This company is not to be trusted. Have met two other families in town that have been ripped off and downright abused by this company that is a "spec home" builder but will morph themselves into a "remodeler" when they need money and the economy is bad. They lie, steal, and never care one bit for their customer. The Homeowner is just an ATM machine for these very manipulative and horribly disreputable people. The enormous structural and other problems that they caused in our home is so terrible that when I speak to other victims I see how they operate. Everyone deserves a roof that is in building code [Pecora took huge amounts of money for this to "oversee" and "manage" but did not do either and were incapable of seeing that the roof was installed in violation of building code]. What did they do to the homeowner? They stuck us with the problem to run after the bad roofer all by ourselves yet they ran off with our money as though they were the "builder" and ignored their fiduciary duty to stand behind all work. They could have cared less. Everyone should not have to rip out two showers because the plumbing was done so egregiously wrong that no one can take a shower in those showers because the water comes flowing through the ceiling below them! How horrifying. Terrible. Incompetent. Ridiculous. Everyone deserves basement lolly columns put in properly. NO, not Pecora. Did not bother and left basement structural problems that are enormous to solve with other people to take care of. Hugely expensive and not to mention outrageous incompetence. Everyone deserves a kitchen sink that is properly plumbed. No, not Pecora. They did not bother to "manage" the plumber who left the kitchen sink without being properly plumbed and could have caused a huge flood in our basement. We had to call an emergency plumber when we discovered that the waste pipe was NEVER installed and the pipe just ended in the basement with nowhere to go. Everyone deserves to be respected and HEARD when they speak to the Contractor who is working for them. No, Not Pecora! They will roll their eyes with incompetent, disrespectful, unprofessional "managers" who will ignore your repeated requests, and then yell at you in order to manipulate you. Everyone deserves an HVAC to be done correctly. No, not with Pecora. Ignored this very important subcontractor and had no clue, NO CLUE as to the problems the dishonest subcontractor had caused. Oh, but they took their "markup" to "manage" yet did not one thing to manage. This is the short list of issues. The dishonesty and arrogance cannot be underestimated and the uncouth behavior cannot be fully explained in a brief complaint.
