I purchased eyeglasses from this store and within two months the plastic frames started to deteriorate. I took them back and they replaced the frames, only to fail again two months later. The clerk said it was due to the oils from my skin. I've had plastic frames many times before and never had a problem like this. When I returned them the second time they refused to help me.
The glasses cost me over $500. I went to another optician and they removed the glasses from the frame and put them into a different frame. That resolved the problem. Don't expect them to honor any warranty. This place is a snakepit.
Jan 1 2019 I lost glasses, at the time I was a barber student and a barber apprentice. Glasses are absolutely necessary for my line of work if needed. January 3 2019 I went into Pearle Vision for new i purchased a Groupon and thought the Groupon would cover all expenses because it said it would , I ended up paying 96 dollars more than expected that’s the first thing that upset me, They then called me in for my glasses, the prescription was very blurry, I leave thinking I just needed to get used to the new prescription, after 5 days I wasn’t getting used to them.
I go in and they tell me they put the lenses in backwards. I then had to wait another week for a new pair, when I got that pair the screws were stripped on them making them unfixable if they loosened, after that pair, they said I could wear those until the next pair is ready. No apologies no nothing just a bunch of excuses as to why I had to wait yet again for a third pair of glasses. It is now March 28 2019 and I still do not have functioning glasses, no one has called me to inform me as to when they will be ready nothing. Trust me when I tell you Pearle Vision is not the place to go for your eye care needs.
Please consumers whatever you do, do your research before you go to Pearle Vision. They rip me off of $195.00 for a one time routine eye exam, my insurance covered so much. They did'nt tell me how much the exam was.
So, when I asked the detail information of the bill, it just for using the eye equipement they have. Did'nt get my eyes dilated, everything else is extra. Please !! do not go to these people they are a complete ripoff.
Pearle Vision in Burlington, MA, total ripoff. I went there to get glasses repaired. They told me they couldn't repair the glasses I had to get all new lenses. $700 later the glasses gave me color aberration (lights, signs broke up in colors). After checking the prescription, going back to see the doctor, getting a second opinion, I learned that they had changed the lens material from my old glasses to my new. Unfortunately, it took me some time to figure out what was wrong. When I finally did, they refused to honor their warranty because it took me too long to figure out the problem.
Stay away from them. Completely untrustworthy organization - they are tied to Pearle Vision in Somerville as well. No one at eitehr location would help.
I was never explained to me that there was only one transition tint, or pointed out to me how it is going to look and told there was no refund, until when I got home and saw it on my receipt until now! Carina was helpful but I think she could have explained more since there no other customers in the office. I took my glasses back the first time to get the anti glare off. it made everything blurry, then when I noticed that my glasses did not get dark enough like the extra advantage on my old glasses that did not make me squint all the time. the poly transition I got on the glasses does not do nothing for me. so now I have to keep this pair for $456.00 with no refund I was told. EVERYONE SHOULD BE TOLD THERE IS NO REFUND!! the store is a complete rip off and all along I thought it would be more professional NOT! it does not say anything about a refund that I no of doesn't most professional places have refunds?
