Got this invoice on the fax machine and notice that it said that we owe $171.00 for a service that we had use, but really we have never heard of this company before and we have never done business with them. This is not the first time that they have sent us a bill to be paid. Be aware that this is a internet scam going on and they want your credit card information.
WE RECIEVED A FAX FROM PC SHIELD. AFTER INSPECTING THE SO CALLED INVOICE, I NOTICED WE HAVE NEVER HAD THIS SERVICE. READING FURTHER ON IT WAS APPARENT THIS WAS A SCAM. IT PAYS TO LOOK CLOSELY AT YOUR FAXES.
A fax was received overnight on our general fax line which was placed by reception in the AP mailbox for payment. AP Contacted IT who had no knowledge of this company and upon investigation found it to be unsolicited. They state on the bottom of the "proposal" that it isn't an invoice and that our companies have not done business together before.
It provides rediculous promises of using web searches and forums to help them clean and maintain your pc. Including taking it apart and cleaning it. Really? You're going to come here and disassemble and clean ALL my computers (using forums from major PC makers as a guide)?! There is no mention of how many machines they'll "maintain". And they'll continue to bill you annually until you cancel your "membership".
It says you can "cancel" by faxing or emailing. There is no domain hosted at pcshieldinc. com and they ONLY provide a fax number, no phone. How can a legitamte computer support business not provide a website or phone number in 2017? Either way, as of today the domain PCSHIELDINC.COM is 2 months old and is hosted by launchpad/hostgator. I have reported this to their abuse email and am awaiting a reply.
On october 27,2017, I purchased, in good faith, the software to "protect" my PC. The monies were taken out of my account, and I got nothing!!! no 800 number, no download - nothing.
