I was recently hired by an oral surgeon to assist in his marketing. I have a sales background with an interest in digital marketing. One day I happened to be inspecting the code on my employer's website. I was actually incredulous to find out that there in the html was the name of another doctor with whom I was not familiar. When I confirmed that this doctor's name actually came up in our search results, I couldn't believe it. I immediately called PBHS and demanded that it be removed that instant, which I might add they fought me on. My boss was very happy and told me that he had been trying to tell PBHS this since the website first went live 5 years prior, but nothing had been done. Apparently no one had taken him seriously or even bothered to look into it so there it sat.
Earlier that week I had requested the removal and addition of some images on our site and the response I received was that they were "very busy", but for a "rush fee" they could address my needs immediately. Who tells their customers that they can't help them right now because they are "very busy" but for a fee they can?! I called them and I could not contact anyone, either via their web chat, their support number or their 1-800 number. Unbelievable.
I dug further into the content on our site and found unrelated descriptors like "cosmetic dentist": which my employer is not. Several of the pages had "no content, no index" on them. Others had weird and awkward phrasing in them. I'm obviously no expert in this area, but I knew enough to be concerned. So I captured all of these concerns in an email that I sent to PBHS. They emailed back, and said that they had removed the mystery doctor's name from our site. I told them that I was well aware of that because I had insisted it be removed. They did not even address my other complaints. I brought the conversation back to my concerns and asked what they would do to compensate us for these errors and lack of service. They said they would make up some flyers for us if and when we upgraded our site. I couldn't believe it. I told them of my disappointment. They left a voicemail for me, and I emailed them which days I would be in the office, I never got a call. I have heard nothing from them since.
After posting the above on Yelp, I received an email from them some days later stating that this review had been removed because it did not follow their "guidelines", that I did not have "first hand experience."
I will let my dealings with PBHS Inc. and Yelp speak for themselves.
