Speaking of Shady Dentist-- this one reaches to a low!
I take side jobs once awhile going to people' garages; fixing their cars, that's how I met Paul in the falls of 2016. At that time I had braces on me; it was a failed treatment. The first time I met Paul, he saw me wearing braces, and started constantly bugging me to let him to treat my teeth, wanted me to come to his office for a consultation, and said it was free. I'd never said yes to him because I was uncomfortable and because his intention was that I work on his cars for credit and in exchange He would treat me teeth; doing implants or any services, then I would pay the difference. He had never said his intention to me out loud but he implied. I told him several times that I need to sell assets to pay for the treatment, without funds there is no point to do treatment. He did not get it, still brought up the subject every time I saw him or talk to him over the hone. It was never my intention from very beginning that I would want him to be my dentist.
The first week of September 2017, that Friday afternoon i met him in Westmont IL. His car had brake noise issue, so he leave the car in westmont, and I took him home . On the way back to his home in Hinsdale IL. We stop by at his office, he needed something in his office. So I was in his office, and he started bring up the subject again; one thing leads to another I had a x-ray taken. I was tired of that he keeps bugging me all the time and he owes me $385 dollars for over a month for the work I did for him, and it seems to me he used it as a bait. I gave in, and made an appointment with him for removing the braces as a one time deal, because it seems like he did not want to pay the money he owes me.
Prior to the day of the appointment, I texted him and asked how much would cost me for the service on the day of that appointment (September 14th 2017), he replied that $300 for removal of braces/150 for gross scale./ 450 for extraction and bone graft upper left teeth. I then replied to him that I only want to remove the braces and gross scale on that day. i was thinking the total amount is $450 ,then subtract $385 he owes me, so I would pay $65 on the day of the appointment.
After the services, I met him in a room, nobody around. He shows me the paper that the charges of services and he hit me with surprised fees- consultation fee and X ray. he wrote down on a pieces of paper. showing the charges of the service and subtract the money he owes me, so I would paid $265. I was not happy because I thought I was going to pay $65.
I have a receipt from the office, the receipt does not even shows what services has been done, only shown the credit card transaction at the amount of $265.
The last time I texted him asking a copy of x-ray, he did not reply. That's why I decide to file complaints. He should refund me $200 via my credit card. This person is shady. I did not ask him for a consultation and does x -ray, I was tired of him bugging me, and refuse to pay the money he owes me.
