I purchased a driving cart for my miniature horse for $2,496.34 the cart arrived June 2020. I purchased this cart, even though they are in Canada and I am in the US because they advertise as miniature horse cart experts. I was willing to pay the extra cost of shipping and to wait 4 months to receive the cart.
Within a few months of receiving the cart the back of the seat broke, fortunately nobody was hurt including the mini horse.
I contacted the seller and they agreed it was a design failure and to ship it back to them. Although, it was very inconvenient, I shipped the broken cart back to the manufacturer in Canada.
Shortly after the cart was returned, while driving in the cart, the wheel cracked causing my mini horse to buck in fear. I was ejected from the cart and a run-away situation occurred. The mini horse was so traumatized by this event he can not drive again.
I immediately contacted the seller and told them about all the damages, my medical bills, veterinarians bills, broken helmet, broken whip and finally a mini horse that is ruined to driving.
They offered a full refund of the cart. I have not received my refund and they now avoid all communication with me.
I took the cart to a repair person but it can not be repaired because the integrity of the cart is so poor it can not be safely repaired. The repair person was shocked that plastic wheels were provided with the horse cart as plastic wheels are a huge safety issue.
This purchase has been a nightmare, it is an extremely dangerous product. The least I expect is the refund of the purchase price of $2,496.34 which I was promised.
