I went to paseo family physicians, now called paseo primary care physicians, with whom i have been using for years to have a physical done. They informed me there would be no charge as i get 1 free physical per year with my insurance. 5 weeks later i get a bill in the mail for over $30. This was a surprise to me, so i called them. I spoke to the manager in the billing department, kelly young, regarding this matter. Kelly young said because things were discussed above a normal physical they billed me for an office visit. This "office visit" was never discussed at any point during the physical. The only things that were discussed were me moving abroad and requesting for a prescription to last for one year while overseas. Kelly young was extremely rude and disrespectful. From the start kelly young seemed agitated to be taking a call regarding a bill even though she is the manager of the billing department. I would never recommend anyone use paseo family physicians because of my experience with kelly young in billing. I told kelly young that i would appreciate if she'd waive the "office visit" charge as i had no idea that i wasn't able to ask basic questions to my physician during a physical. She was uncooperative and unapologetic. Kelly young seems only interested in collecting money from unsuspecting patients who are uninformed of their policies. It's very sad that she is willing to allow negative media to tarnish her employer's reputation over $30.
