Paschall Truck Lines, Inc. Reviews

  • Jun 21, 2017

I quit my job, thinking that I was going to get my own truck. I had a big surprise when I got to Murray, ky. I saw guys that had been there for two weeks or more either waiting on a truck or was miss lead signing for a truck that once they go there the truck wasn't any good . So when I decided to call my recruiter he told me that he wasn't going to pay my ticket to come back home. So I ended up paying the last money I had to pay my truck note. Lo and behold I sat here in Paducah waiting on my bus and lo and behold six guys came to the bus stop along with me because that had no trucks like I called my recruiter earlier but they paid there way. I just want my money back for lost time quitting my job and paying for my own bus ticket.

I am new to the trucking industry and chose Paschall Truck Lines (PTL) as my first transportation industry employer. I completing P1 training, which requires us to spend 5000 miles driving with a trainer, Afterwards, we are required to do a number of backing maneuvers and a obstacle courses, of sorts, to move into P2 training. P2 training required that you ride with another trainee and complete 40,000 miles safely in order to complete the training process. Of course, all of this is done at a ridiculously low pay rate. Today, after being told our P2 training was completed, I was terminated via a telephone conversation, which lasted all of 10 seconds. When I asked, " what did I do wrong and why am I being terminated? I was told, "nothing, we just feel like you won't be happy here".

On the way to the bus station, I recorded a conversation with the local manager who sat in on that call and would love to give it to an attorney to file a unlawfull termination case. While I was vocal, but respectful, about all of the lies and incompetence from PTL management, I completed all miles in a safe manner and got all loads to the customer on time. I was terminated after voicing my displeasure to a guy by the name Matt, who called me to see how things were going. He said my complaints would go to the top. Sure enough, shortly thereafter, Dennis (VP Operations) called and cursed me out for voicing my complaints. If an attorney reads this, please contact me. I am expecting them to take a majority of my final pay check under the pretense that I did not complete my training, although I was told yesterday in writing, via Qualcomm, that our training was complete.

For anyone thinking about working for PTL, BEWARE, do not do it. I am a man with a college degree and have been in management positions myself. I have a clean driving record and no criminal history. Additionally, I can drive a tractor trailer very well. My point is this.... I am no THUG just giving an opinion as a disgruntled former employee. Do your research on this company (I certainly should have) and you will find very few people with anything positive to say about them. For any attorneys reading this, please, you also can do research and will determine that these people need to be stopped. What they do to employees, most of which are in desperate situations, should be a crime. At the very least, they need to be held liable in a civil court.

After signing on with Ptl its been 3 weeks with out pay. The kicker is I'm leasing the truck from quality and I'm unable too pay for the truck due too no revenue from this company It also weird too put 2 weeks in the whole for a paycheck when your leasing I never heard of it. I've leased from crst Malone and the pay was awesome compared to Ptl with no revenue at all. I don't normally complain about a company but when I read some of the reviews I don't believe until it happens to me. So I also gave the company a chance to be up front when I did started asking questions.

But I got a lot of I don't knows and that's not my job. So I'm leaving them as of today on the date posted . These people will get you to leases with them and In the words of a driver there on the terminal they will d**k YOU hard so don't go through with company or the lease I starve with my two daughters son and wife with this company and I ran every load I didn't reject not one load. So I usually drive 650 miles a day depending on traffic. If you want to starve then by all means go ahead.

This company is full of lies and unprofessional behavior to the likes of which I've never seen! I signed on under their lease program and they have cheated me out of 3500 dollars. I'm not on here to complain as a truck driver I've heard enough of that and did my fair share as well. What I'm here to do is take action for a change! I'm looking for other drivers who have been scammed by this company to put together a class action suit against these people! The only way to truly stop this behavior by these companies is to fight back against their under handed practices! So if you are reading this and have also been a victim of the lies and poor behavior of Ptl please contact me asap. I've already begun the process of securing counsel but it will take more than one voice to put an end to this nonsense. Or if you already have an attorney working on something similar I am more than willing to add my name, as I said it takes a village to stop drivers from stuffing the pockets of companies who behave in this manner!
