For a week she'd been texting me about the day/time of service because her "books were all messed up". After several days she told me she thought she was texting someone else. I told her the house was vacant, I don't care when she comes, just let me know. Time was set. 15 minutes after she was supposed to arrive, I texted her asking if we were still on. She said she was still 40 minutes out because I was "really far out there" because she never checked the address when I gave it to her a week earlier.
I had to leave so when she got there, she told me it would be $350 instead of the quoted $150. I asked her what the add'l $200 was for and she said it would take a team of 3 people 3 hours. I told her there was no way I was paying $350 and she said "could you do $300?". I was already moved and on a timeline so I had no choice. She assured me I would be "very happy".
We had TWICE went over exactly what she would do. No windows, no walls but she would clean all appliances inside and out, sweep and mop under the appliances, clean the blinds, baseboards, light fixtures, ceiling fans, ceiling vents, all doors, door frames, shelves, etc. I specifically asked if it was wet rag cleaning and she said yes. She said it was MOVE OUT clean and that she had done it for several military families (which I know from experience must be very clean). I got a call an hour and a half later that they were finished. When I got to the property, although the appliances were cleaned very well, the baseboards were not done, several shelves hadn't been touched (there was still cat hair on them), the blinds had just been dusted, the floors had not been swept or mopped underneath, and they broke the bottom of my stove piece off. She didn't even VACUUM anywhere!
I immediately texted her with pictures and said she needed to remedy the situation to which she replied that she was sorry if she missed anything and that they just dust the doors, frames, baseboards, etc. What good does it do to dust a door or baseboard?? We specifically discussed fingerprint and marks being removed with a wet rag. So I spent an additional 6 hours cleaning my house that she had already "cleaned". Basically, I paid her $350 to dust and do the appliances.
