On April 26th, 2016, I called Park View Credit at 888-998-2889. I wanted to find out about repairing my credit. I spoke with Bridget. She told me they had to pull my credit to find out my FICO score and that it would be $59.95. I told her I just wanted to know how much it was to repair my credit. She told me that a credit analyst would tell me and that the $59.95 would be deducted from the price I was quoted if I decided to go for it. I agreed to have my credit pulled, since I didn't know what my score was. I found it expensive to get my credit pulled when I could have gotten a complimentary pull from any of the credit bureaus. I figured that if I liked what I heard and went with their program that the credit fee would be deducted from the overall price, and that I would get a credit consultation for that price. I was placed on hold, Lester Bourage gets on the phone. He starts to sell me. He says that their price is $200 - $800 to fix credit. But based on what he saw, there were only two simple issues that needed to be removed. In reality, I have 2 foreclosures, car repo, credit cards & medical that were issues that happened less than ten years ago. He said the credit history went back 10 years. He said it was simple to remove and because of this, I would be at the $200 range. I asked if this could be paid in installments. He said no - in full. I said, well Bridget said that the $59.95 of the credit report would be deducted. He says: no this is not the case. It's a flat $200 to get started. We don't deduct anything. I said I know what I heard. He then gets sassier with me. He said this is policy. I said, well she said at the beginning you all record everything. This is recorded. He then agreed to deduct it. I read the contract he emailed and it ends up it was $200 plus $89 per month. When I asked for a refund for the credit report they wouldn't because I received the consultation. But all they gave me was a sales pitch. I want my $59.95 back! These people are Con-Artists and Sell you based on lies - and they contradict what someone else told you. Beware!
My husband and I needed credit consultation and called Parkview credit on 11/19/2015 and spoke with Danielle S (888-991-6412) about their services. She explained that they had two methods of payment that were available for the service. She also explained that we had to pay an initial fee of $119.90 for the credit reports. She also disclosed that the items on our report were not overwhelming and should not cost as much as other clients that they’ve serviced. After our conversation and payment of $119.90, she transferred us to speak with Sean L (818-650-5174) who would be our credit counselor.
We spoke with Sean Landious and he also disclosed that our reports were not overwhelming. He explained and went over 51 items on both of our reports combined. He explained that we would pay for 33 items on my 3 credit reports for $475 and 18 for the items on my Husband’s 3 credit reports for $375. We paid a discounted fee of $725 for both reports and were sent agreement that stating that Sean would work on the items (per paragraph 2, 7 & 9 of the contract). It also stated that if we opted to continue additional service after these services were rendered and fully completed, we could continue for $89.99 a month in Exhibit A.
On 11/23/2015, they said letters were sent out on our behalf to the credit bureaus and we would need to send any updates that we received (as per paragraph 10 of the contract). By January, we had not received at least 1 report update from each credit bureau and were waiting on the remaining updates. On January 23, 2016, I noticed a charge to my credit card of $179.98 from this company. We attempted to log into the portal to see what was going on but were unable to get through because there was a form that required our signature. We did not sign anything and immediately emailed Sean and the support center because they were not available by phone.
We heard back from Sean on Monday from a new number (818-665-3757 ext 3535). He said that the charge was because they had sent out 2 rounds of letters to the bureaus. I asked him to explain where it stated that only 2 rounds of letters where to be sent out in the contract because the contract stated that we paid him to work on the 33 and 18 items of which were to be rendered and fully completed before we agreed to continue additional services (Exhibit A of the contract). He could not show us the “2 rounds of letters” stipulation in the contract.
After back and forth conversation, David (Sean’s Manager) called us from 818-650-5169 and said he would credit us $89.99 dollars because Sean made a mistake with the amount of the continuation fee explanation. We then asked him to explain the contract terms. He said that we agreed to 2 rounds of letters but he could not to tell us where this was in the contract either. He said we were in our 2nd round of letters which is why they charged us the continuation fee even though we had not to agree to it nor were the contracted services completed and fully rendered. I asked him how that was possible when we haven’t received at least 1 copy of our reports for each bureau. He said they send out letters anyway.
David said he would give us a $89.99 credit. I told to him that this was a scam and to refund our money back. They canceled our services, only gave us back the $179.98 but still have not refunded the $725 and $119.90. Beware of their tactics. They do not do what they promise and take your money. Read their reviews and you’ll find that many are false. Read the 1 and 2 star reviews to see the truth.
