I suspect was killed as many have been, the person in the background on the vedio speaking was also a Williams, P. which I also suspect that the last names as my goverment name have been used fraudently as I also suspect my goverment name has been used as well, the people that I suspect is behind these positions I suspect stems from the last complex that I least with in Evanston which was a 319 Dempster in Evanston also is where I filed on a agent 13 day later I was robbed case number 12 0773 I suspect since many of the property mangers can be shifted to other locations the memo to target me was put into place" Photo's followed as I stated from wastewater to leaked gas which I also supect" Pangea want me out of the unit. I met Ron years ago and he came across as a great guy. I attended several of his free seminars and my wife and I decided to buy a piece of investment property (just land) from him for $8,000. Fast forward 5 years. I began to be curious what our piece of land was worth (in Arkansas) and decided to call up a real estate agent. I explained to them how we acquired the land and for what purpose. I then told them where it was. There was an awkward pause on the phone before the agent took his time in telling me I had been scammed. It is an area that the properties have never really been worth more than $500 - $1000. In fact they have lost value the last 10 years. I asked him how that could be. We had done our due diligence and looked up properties in the area to research prices and at the time it seemed a good deal. He explained that companies like Ron's (which no longer exists. It was the Pangea Real Estate Group) came in and bought up hundreds of lots. They then post all of them online at the much higher prices making it look like that is what lots are selling for at the time. Long story short, our $8,000 lot is actually only worth $500-$1,000. By the time the realtor takes a commission I am looking at several hundred bucks. I couldn't believe what I had just heard so I tried 2 other real estate agents. They were even more frank in letting me know I had been scammed. I have tried contacting Ron directly by phone, email and through his office. His answering machine just says that he is in the Bahamas for an extended period of time. Not sure if he has fled the country to avoid jail time or what. I can't warn people enough. Ron will come across as legitimate in every way. He is one of the best con men I have come across. By all means, invest in real estate, but don't take your chances with him. I would hate to see anyone else loose their hard earned money to a scam so that he can continue living in the bahamas for extended periods of time. Me and my family moved into pangea apartments ONLY because we were in a desperate situation and had very little time and mony to find a place for ourselves and our children, at the time one of our children ( the oldest) wasnt living with us which made it easier for us to gain access to this apartment, it is a two bedroom apartment but we have all boys and the two smaller ones share a room, so thinking about our situation of desperation at that time we were happy to have a place for ourselves and our children.
we moved in oct. 2014 and soon after we noticved many things that were wrong, not only with the apartment but with the entire community, thankfully the maintenance they have on staff for the most part does their jobs in a timely manor so in that case we have no issues,but as for the outside of the community as well as the types of people they choose to rent to is in my opinion of the worst kinds of trash you can imagine, of courrse it was stil inter at that time so as usual you dont see a whole lot during that time of year.
as the warm months rolled in we noticed more and more bad about this place, and here are some examples...1rst the children are rude, racist, violent, and trashy hich leads one to believe the parents are in the same boat, but they are allowed to run free all over the community and say and do what ever they wish with out consequences from any adult including their own parents, my childen were at first allowed to go outside to the park and play but the same children that live here are the same children my children go to school with and have had racial issues from day one.
we contacted the schools and after awhile it seemed to calm down, then as the days progessed the armer days brought out all the bad that this community has to offer or that was hidden from us due to cold whether, as we first pulled into the community before moving in we noticed signs in the lime green pangea color stating NO GAS bill NO WATER bill, so that was a bonus for us compared to where we had lived previously.
after moving in about 2 days after we kept hearing loud bangs coming from next door and it went on all day and most of the night, so e complained, nothing happened, e tried to keep to opurselves and not associate with our neighbors so not have issues that we previously had in other apartments, and even though we were having noise complaints e would wwait til the end of the month when we payed our rent to compain, come to find out the guy that lived next doo was a dug dealer and which made since on nthe loud bangs we was hearing at all ours, it was his front door slamming shut every 10 to 15 minutes all day and all night.
so after numerous complaints they finally made this guy move, i was under the assumption he was evicted, but NOOOO!! instead of them doing the right thing and getting rid of tenants with numerous violations like a good landlord would do, they simply moved him to another unit, after that we had no other issues with noise but the maintenace issues started to come due to whomever the previous maintenace crew was , they did what i call a half a*s job on every aspect of this unit.
from everything from the stove and frig being of the cheapest lowest quality appliances they could find to the slab job they did on the carpet, being from a background of constuction and maintenace myself as well as having done many other aspects of apartment and housing repair including carpet i know a s*** job when i see one, they didnt even have enough respect for the tenats to place padding under the carpet or even baseboards or tack strips , its all just thrown together.
the vents hadnt been cleaned out in what looked like years to the point that very little flow would come through at any given time, the windos and balcony door had not been replaced in years as well, but as i had previously stated the maintenace at that time was johnny on the spot when we called them with an issue so for that reason i dont have an issue.
around the summer of 2015 our balcony door was replaced as well as many other small issues we had we all taken care of, but then they rented out the apartment next door to some one, aparently they rented it to a single guy so we were ok with that at first, then we find out this guy has about 5 kids who are the worst of the worst , of course the blame in the end belongs with the parents, if the parents are trash and disrespectful then the kids will fall in place.
so here we go again with the door being slammed all day and night and in most cases what seemed like every few minutes it was opening and slamming shut, then to top it off one of the most disgusting things a man or woman can do in public is spit on the ground, but this guy takes it to a whole nother level, he hockers his chest flem all over the steps that me my wife and children have to use to get down stairs, and whats worse is that he waits til he either comes up the stairs to go into his apartment or when he is leaving and our doors are two feet fron one another and he stands right in front of my door and does it, i am usually in the front room at that time eating or watching t.v. and its like he is right in the room with me....its disgusting and down right disrespectful.
but this time unlike the last we have complained at least a half of dozen times about this tenant and nothing has been done, besides his disgusting ways he throws bags of trash right outside his door, on one occassion he sent his kids out to take the garbage out and the bag broke and they dropped a lot of garbage on the sidewalk along with a milk contaner with rotted disgusting milk in it and just left it there, the last time we complained on this guy was in feb 2016 the day after we complained on him our windows nin our car were smashed out and after filtering through the facts of who it could have been we came to the conclusion that it was most likely him or someone he knew, maybe someone he had do it, either way we were sure it was him but with out solid evidence to back it up we had to take our lumps and move on.
after a few weeks we were forced to sell that car due to all the damage to it from normal wear and tear and the windows being smashed out, then the lady across the way from us her apartment was broke into and robbed blind, she comes back from visting her sick mother to find everything she owned was gone,then shortly after that, maybe within a few days we get hit with a water bill of 30 extra dollars a month on top of notices stating our rent was goin up as well, we had plans of moving out at the end of the year to find a house but then we get a notice on our door stating that we needed to come get the new parking sticker and we had replaced our sticker twice since moving in here, unfortunately we had two vehicles when we moved in a suv and a small car so we had two parking stickers, but like most documents you sign , if you dont read and comprehend all aspects of said document and you sign anyway then you are held by those standards, apparently every year they make you get a new sticker for your cars, and if you dont get it or if you forget to renew, they haqve a deal worked out with a city towing company that come around and night and sneaks around with a flash lights like the theaves they are and looks for cars that that they either dont see the sticker or who doesnt have one at all, like maybe a visitor, a family member or a friend who is staying the night, and when they wake up their car is gone and they have to pay 60 buckss out of pocket to get their car back, i wonder how much kick back pangea or at least the management is geting of those fees.
so here it is 2016 the beginning of the year i just got my taxes back and have full amounts to move into a better place but unfortunately all of the descent places in this township are gone, and i have a month to come up with a place otherwise i will have to pay an extra 50 dollars for rent going month to month,and at first 530 was the rent until the water bill started then it went up to 560 and with a month to mnth deal it will be on top of the rent hike ovger 600 dollars for this raggedy a** two bedroom apartment with a disrespecrful trashy noisy neighbor, the aparment thrown together like a cardboard box in an alley, and surrounded by people selling oranges cars and motorcycles racing , horns going off all day and night and last bu t not least the roads in this community have large pot holes that they just throw a patch on it and go on, this realestate company and its staff are some greedy scumbags and these apartments are in my opinion , the worst of the worst, they arent worth the price they are asking for them, specially with what all you have to put up with....so BEWARE AND DONT RENT FORM THESE SCUM!!!
I was a victim of Pangea Real estate. I rented from them in 2012. Not only have I recently found out that Pangea has filed a judgement against me (which I never recieved any letters once I left their apartment) but they are now reporting on my credit report.
I moved into Pangea in 2012 and from the very beginning I had every problem you could think of, no heat (my radiators didnt work) and I called the property manager serveral times and the city before they fixed the problem and my son was under the age of 5 at the time. It pretty much took the city coming out for them to fix any of my problems.
I barely had hot water, another problem I called about serveral times. I also had electric problems. The problems with my electric was because the job was never done correctly. The light in my bathroom didnt work, but the electric plug worked, The electric plugs in my bedroom didnt work, but the bedroom light worked.
The hallway light leading to the kitchen worked and the kitchen light worked but none of the plugs in the kitchen worked. I had to use a long cord to connect my refrigerator. Even with all the unliveable problems I had while living in the apartment when my rent was only a week or 2 late they filed court papers. My rent wasnt even 30 days late before I was getting served with court papers all while stilling having heating, water and electric problems. I wasn't able to pay any rent until I went to court, and once I went to court I paid that month plus the current months rent. Now I have checked my credit and I see a judgement against me from Pangea Real estate.
Pangea has ruin or is ruining my credit history with this judgement even tho my stay at there rental was absolute hell. Please help me bring awareness about this company that are ruining many other people's lives with there unlivable apartments.
