I really love this company(not). Purchased this home back in '99-2000 Had nothing but issue after issue from the start. But the most current one is a plumbing failure.
The maninfold that provides the tub, shower function had a failure with a fitting on the cold water side developed a crack and caused a major water leak in not only the master bathroom 7 years ago, but now the guest bathroom too. If you have a policy thru
American Bankers-Assurance only if it is a massive complete failure will they do any thing about if it slow too bad. so sad,O well lifes hell-and this policy was provided by my mortage company Ditech.
So I bet I'm not the only one! If a person that has legal expertise would like to make contact with me and any other person or persons going though this please respond and stop this from happening to other people!
This should be a warning! Check your homeowners policy!!! Don't get burned like I did!
Terrible mistake on my part choosing Palm Harbor Homes, also known as Cavco Homes. Once they have your money, you are on your own. I have had nothing but trouble with my home since day 1. Repeated issues with A/C unit. Had the repair company come out 7 times in the first year. Obviously got a lemon for A/C unit. Air conditioner finally completely failed and needed to be replaced. Despite all parties involved agreeing that I should not have had repeated issues with my A/C and it was obviously defective; Palm Harbor refused to replace the unit.
Even worse, I got the run around for 4 months before finally receiving the final decision that they were not going to replace my air conditioner. It was nearly impossible to get a call back from them. I would have to call 5 times to get one return phone call. Then it was more delay tactics. According to the regional vice president, they "are not in the AC fixing business". They are obviously not in the customer service business either. I have heard many stories from people who have had similar problems with Palm Harbor. I definitely would not recommend buying a home from them.
