I called the main office of Dr. Melanie Rosenblatt and spoke with the office manager named Susan who gave me an appointment for October 26, 2020 at 9:30AM and I was told in no uncertain terms that the appointment would be a "no-charge consulation" to see if this doctor could be of any help with my medical issue. I made sure that this was a no-charge visit after being told by Susan that Dr. Rosenblatt did not accept insurance for the type of medication that I was requesting to be prescribed for an indefinite time period.
I show up at the office right on time and was told by the very unfriendly receptionist that I needed to pay a $35 co-pay. After requesting that the receptionist call her manager Susan, she does so while I am standing their listening to her conversation about their personal matters that did not apply to my health concerns. I then had to call Susan myself and it was at this point that she changed her story and claimed that I "misunderstood" her and that she meant "no cost to me accept for my co-pay". This was total nonsense as I reiterated the point with her several times prior to confirming the appointment. She has proven herself to be a total liar in my opinion.
Since ultimately, Rosenblatt (what a name) is responsible for the representations made by her employees on behalf of her entire health practice, I hold her accountable for the total waste of my time and fuel in driving to her office.
