Pacific Trading Academy, LLC. Reviews

  • Jul 21, 2018

At the beginning of June, 2018, I received phone calls, three to be exact, from Pacific Trading Academy, specifically from a male with the name of Frank. I was advised that this mentoring service would change my life for the better and that if I was not 100% satisfied, I could ask for and receive a 100% refund.

During these initial conversations, I was promised repeatedly, that if I had any dissatisfaction with the program at all, that I would be able to get a 100% refund. It seemed as if this was the main theme of his conversation, since he kept repeating it over and over again. When I expressed doubts about any mentoring service being able to change my life, it was the same response, "This mentoring will change your life and you will call me to thank me when it is all over".

From the outset of this program, I knew something was askew. My antennas were already elevated due to the constant, over hyped results I would be getting from this service, and when I was encouraged to spend $3900 to invest in a penny stock, I knew it was all over. Of course I did not make this purchase, but it was interesting to see how none of the recommendations ever made any money. If I had invested in the so called "pump and dump" penny stock, I would at present be in the red for $ 1000, and at once point, this so called trade was down $1500. Other trades suggested were also big losers, none which I participated in.

When I began seeing the pattern of consistent losing trades, and the fact that any so called "mentor" would advocate investing in a penny stock, I knew I had made the wrong decision. This became so much more evident when Mr. Thompson attempted to rationalize his recommendation of this penny stock by saying that "professional investors say to invest no more than 15% in one position, and of course, this recommendation happened to be very close to 15% of the balance of my trading account. I thought, "what a coincidence, that Mr. Thompson is recommedning a penny stock that would require investing close to 15% of my account". Of course, in reality, this was a bold faced lie in an attempt to get me to throw my money into this stock, so he could get rid of his shares. In reality, professional investors utilize a percentage much smaller than what Mr. Thompson said was the gold standard for traders; the actual percentage is more like 2 or 3%, nothing close to the 15% recommended by Mr. Thomson.

So I made my request known at the beginning of July, not once, but 3 times; by email, by text, and by phone. I received not one response to any of my requests, which is what I expected from this group of charlatans. Repeated attempts to get my refund have all gone unansered, with the exception of one time when my call was answered by Mr. Thompson. When I stated I had sent 3 preveious requests for a refund, I received the standard response, "I never received any of your requests". On this phone call, Mr. Thomson responding by saying that he would put in my request for the refund right away, and that was it. That was two weeks ago, and I have not received a refund nor have I received any correspondence regarding this refund. I have sent two additonal requests, one by email one by phone, both which received no response.

It is apparent to me that there is nothing at all legitimate about this fraudulent company. They are primarily concerned with taking people's money and not delivering even a fraction of services expected by the victim. I see from reading other posts that this company is guilty of the very same practice with other clients, so it seems to be a modus operandi for this charlatan firm to treat all clients in the same manner. Not only will I not cease my quest to obtain a 100% refund of what I paid to this firm, but I hope by revealing their practices, other "would be victims" might be spared the agony and loss of hard earned money to a firm doing nothing but steal people's money and give excuses as to why they will not give a refund as promised.
