We used the services of OwnASupplementStore.com and were promised amazing pricing, amazing margins, and access to products that you "can’t find online”. While there is some truth to the products you can’t find online, if we had have stuck with the business model they provided, we would have gone out of business in the first few months.
They stated that the "conservative sales figures” put us at an average of $600 in sales per day the first year followed all the way up to $2k per day by year 4. This played a major role in choosing a retail space and the amount we were willing to spend on renting a retail space, not to mention many other financial decisions.
Year one showed $250 a day in sales which at our location is around a $3k/month loss. (Keep in mind we had cheaper options but they said it was a solid price and location) We are 5 years in now and well, we still are not hitting the numbers that were considered "conservative estimates” for year one ("conservatively” they should be $2k/day now).
When they originally set everything up, they used inferior shelving, products with close expiration dates, a super cheap computer and just cheap everything. Do yourself a favor and spend your money on your actual business and not on these guys who promise the world and then don’t even finish what they started (setting the store up), not to mention set you up with inferior products.
If you are considering these guys, go to their website and call a few of the stores that they helped set up and ask if it was worth the money, and there’s your answer. If I could do it all over I would not be in the terrible financial situation my family is in due to making decisions for the business based on their lies.
