FedEx did not deliver merchandise from Overstock.com that required my signature and identification. Overstock.com/FedEx.com/SewVacDirect.com all refuse to refund my money. I NEVER recieved the sewing machine I ordered. I NEVER signed any FedEx document. I NEVER presented my ID to any FedEx person. Complete scam!!!

Will sue SewVacDirect.com in Alameda County of California small claims court just because I have an address for them. If any of you know what my next steps should be to get my money back, kindly let me know at (geri dot freitas at comcast dot net).

The company didn't disclose that the item was coming from China it's an article of clothing it does say that it was supposed to be delivered today I needed it by tomorrow to take on a trip with me now they're saying they have no idea when it's going to be shipped because it still going through customs I tried to cancel the order and it's not allowing me to cancel I don't need it when I get back it was specifically for a particular event at a trip I need to go out and buy some thing comparable so I will have it on my trip they told me when I get it I will have to pay to ship it back I will be gone for a month there will be nobody at my home to receive it.

Very bad business not saying that it's coming from China had I known I never would've ordered it. The corporate phone number listed is disconnected

I purchased a light fixture for $117. It came missing parts.

i called to get parts sent, lady told me she would send a replacement and when I got it, to send the defective one back.

2 months later I still have not received the fixture and they charged my account yesterday for $137 to pay for the replacement.

I did not authorize them to access my debit card and why should I pay for the replacement which never even came- on top of the broken fixture. They agreed to refund $117. But they fraudulently charged my account for $137.

On 11/24/2020 I had ordered 10 leggings off of www.overstock.com. The delivery date was supposed to be 12/03/2020. I was noticing days and week after I had ordered the items why was there is no update on the tracking information. I chatted with the virtual assitant on UPS website. UPS had stated that once they receive the item from the business they will give me updated tracking information & deliver the items to me. When I had called Overstock about this information last week, the customer service assistant had agreed that I should have been received my items by now.

She had opened up a case about this for me. She had told me that if I have not received my items by today on 12/09/2020 to call back & they will either give me a refund of my item or ship the items to me again. Before we had got off of the phone, she had guaranteed that they will give me back my total amout that I had paid for it $130.32. Today, on 12/09/2020 I just called back. The customer service representative had said that he see that I have an open case & to give it one more business day. He said that he have to follow standard procedures. As I had told this man, I have already waited for weeks. I was told by the customer service representative that I will get my money back today if I have not received it by today.

I had told him that I see there are complaints all online about them about these type of issues. He had told me that he understands & that they have to follow this common procedures. It is freezing cold and getting even colder. I need my leggings. I am tired of their runaround answers. They are a scam. All they had to do was refund my money if they were not going to give me my money & since I have not received it by now. I read a comment from somoene on the Better Business Bureau's website said that they are a company that is based in China. That totally explains things now. I am tired of their games & will no longer buy anything from them.

Some products may be sold as refurbished items. This means that a defective unit was purchased and repaired by a third party company and then resold.

Some refurbished products are covered under a one year manufacturer's refurbished warranty. To qualify for this one year manufacturer's refurbished warranty, the refurbished model must be a U.S. model and still have both the LG Model Number and LG Serial Number. If either the model or serial number are not an LG formatted serial number, then any warranty expressed at time of purchase is through the dealer and not the manufacturer.

Overstock.com list untrue delivery dates on their products, I ordered a pair of boots for a Xmas gift on 12/17, the site states I will have them on 12/20 it is now the 22nd, FedEx didn't receive item till the 19th in Calif. So receiving it in the 20th in NY seems impossible.

I contacted the vendor and was informed that Overstock places the delivery estimates on the items without knowledge of the people that are actually shipping the items and that they are virtually impossible to meet.

Overstock simply lies to the consumer and tells the consumer that it's the vendors fault. This is a totally dis-honest business practice they intentionally lie in order to sell items.

ORDERED WATCH ONLINE FROM MEGIR. SHIPPED TIMELY BUT DOES NOT WORK. CAME WITH ON INSTRUCTIONS OR ANYWAY TO CONTACT COMPANY.

  • Apr 29, 2018

I recently made a purchase on their website. The pages prior to going to the actual product's page all list the item as having an MSRP of $90 with a about a $66 discount. This is misleading, because the pants retail for about $30. Only after the customer goes to the product link does it reflect the MSRP at $30 with an actual discount of about $5. I have screen prints of how they advertised the product and have included them.

This is probably the 2nd time I have needed to file a complaint against this company in the last couple of years for this type of problem. Previously, they listed conflicting material on sheets. The links showed a superior material, as well as the header, but when and if the customer actually read the item description further down on the page did it list the true material contents.

Business behavior like this leads customers to make inaccurate decisions when purchasing products. I have reported them to the BBB, the FTC, and the Utah Attorney General's office.

Overstock.com Complaint Details My wife ordered a 2 piece sectional leather couch to be delivered on 12/20/17 , confirmed by Overstock and that they would call first whether it would be in the AM or PM. My wife who is a strong Lutheran and confirmed with me she had verified the delivery date and confirmed it was a Bonded Leather coach from their customer service department and had the receipt showing the date of delivery and the copy of receipt showing Bonded Leather couch. So we OK to go to Roanoke Virginia to help my daughter with a new borne and my grandsons birthday .and planned to be back by 7 am in the morning on the 20th which would of been on that Wednesday. Well at 2 PM on the 18th I received a phone call from my neighbor who told me that there were 2 large boxes on my front lawn and from Overstock.. We called customer service at Overstock and they said there records show that the couch was still in the warehouse. Well after I confirmed it was the couch, I had to drive back to Ocean City NJ a 7 to 6 hour trip and get the boxes at least in the house before it rained that night... I had to leave my wife at my daughters for she could not leave that Monday. So I got there very late and it was just starting to drizzle and I had to get the old sofa out then drag the two new 11 foot boxes ( two of them) into my house. I can not tell you how hard that was for being 72 years old with back problems and having hand wrist in a cast from a previous strain ( I had planned to get my neighbors to help on the 20th, but it was to late at night to wake them up.),... So I got the boxes in with much pain and struggled., I drove back to Roanoke Virginian to pick up my wife and I came back on the 20th. When we got back we proceeded to open the boxes and to our horror it was the wrong sofa !!!! I called the Overstock customer service back and told them what happened and they they did not know why it was delivered that way and they wanted to charge me for a restocking fee to have picked up. Also they said I did have the right sofa even though my receipt said They delivered on the wrong date when we were 500 miles away left the couch on my lawn and gave us the wrong couch overstock.com

On 12/12/2017, I ordered a Marcato Atlas Red Stainless-Steel Biscuit Maker/Cookie Press from Overstock.com as a Christmas gift for my niece. Information on my Overstock.com account indicated that the order had been “filled” and purportedly “shipped” six days following the order, i.e., 12/18/2017. After this date, the only tracking information that I was ever to obtain from the Overstock.com and USPS websites was of the “alleged shipping date.” I never received any further tracking information from any source nor did I receive the ordered item. At this point, I contacted Overstock.com Customer Service numerous times to inquire about the lack of tracking information and the reason the item had not been received.

Several different Overstock.com Customer Service Representatives told me that the “information about my order” would be forwarded to the “appropriate department” for follow-up on the tracking information and missing item. No Overstock.com employee ever contacted regarding any actions taken in attempts to locate the missing item after my complaints. Then, information listed on this order on Overstock.com account showed that a return of the order had been initiated on two occasions followed by a cancellation of the order. I never requested that a return, refund, or cancellation be done for this order. This was done without any Overstock.com Customer Service Representative contacting me by e-mail or telephone to provide an explanation on the actions taken.

An Overstock.com Board of Directors Representative informed me that another item had been "set aside" in case the item that I ordered was not located. I never received the item despite “another one being set aside for me.” Even though the website indicated the item was in stock, my account being billed, and the item allegedly shipped to me, I was informed that Overstock.com had “made a mistake” with my order. For some odd reason, the order was fulfilled and “shipped” but it was out-of-stock at the time of the order. Despite speaking with four different Overstock.com Customer Service Representatives on “Live Chat” and a Board of Directors representative via e-mail, not one of them discovered nor informed me that the order was out-of-stock when placed. I have never encountered such apathy and incompetence from any of the numerous websites in which I have spent thousands of dollars.

DO NOT ORDER FROM OVERSTOCK or SEARS!!! this company if you can call it that is a joke. I purchased a 24' INTEX POOL that they had listed online on their SEARS affiliate website. I have screen shots on my phone of the pool at the price I paid. I placed the order via the phone to make sure everything would go correctly, and was promised I would get the pool but it would take 30days to ship, Next thing I know I get a RUG in the mail a few days later, not the 24' swimming pool. When calling back all they said is they can issue a return but not honor the pool at the price I paid even though they accepted payment for the product I purchased. This was a bait and switch and horrible business practices, both companies keep pushing the blame on the other over the phone and I'm the one left stuck without the item I was promised and countless hours on the phone trying to correct this issue. The offer no compensation and will not offer and comparable item for the price purchased. NOBODY SHOULD EVER ORDER FROM HERE, this was a nightmare dealing with them and I will never do business with this SCAM company again!!!

Trevor Williams works as seller support for Overstock.com / Supplier Oasis. He is completely inept and his supervisors do not seem to care. We have had numerous issues with their platform for 2 years now and NOTHING has changed. When you reach out to him for support, he usually responds that he couldnt find a resolution and he would like to discuss it with you, IF he responds at all that is......this company obviously has no consideration for the sellers actually bringing revenue to the site......it really is a shame seeing that such a HUGE household name such as Overstock shows so much apathy towards the problems of their sellers. SELLERS BEWARE !!!!! WORST PLATFORM AND SUPPORT OUT THERE!!!!!

Returned a purchase after several days later receive notice that the Item returned not the item suppose to have been??

As anyone could imagine much to my surprise ask returns department send me picture of the tampered package, that the item returnd was remove , replace with the an other item that had returned.

The returns department denied everything and returned the item that was replace back to me!!!!

I could not believe this and said why this happen???. Where, when was the package tampered with ??? at the UPS Mailbox droppoff location, at the Overstock returns location???

It's all mystery to me, lesson learn is to never BUY anything that you cannot go to return personally yourself. Will not BUY anything , anymore from Overstock.com as it seems would be practice that someone in their retirns department do Bait & Switch. Am done with ONLINE and will Never BUY from company that has no physical location.

Fellow Consumer be warned put OVERSTOCK.com on NOTICE

Ordered religious medal advertised as 14K solid gold with Company label on cloth pouch (Pori).

I received a 925 sterling silver (engraved on obverse) minuscule medal/chain with no box and a plain cloth bag, along with a different company (BSI) stamped on obverse.

I called the company twice immediately upon inspecting this bait and switch product. Walmart sells a comparable on for 1/10th of what I paid for this.

This was supposed to be a special Christmas gift. Here we have BSI (Broadway in N.Y.) and Overstock.com playing Scrooge this Christmas holiday.

Overstock contributed to 50k loss to our business and nearly closed our business as well as discriminated against me personally as a customer on their site. I have been a selling custom furniture on Overstock and a customer for 4 years. Both were amazing experiences to say the least. A very large company with management and executives who have no idea what is going on there. As a seller of customer furniture, I gave Overstock 100’s of thousands of dollars a year in pure profit and good reviews, no kidding.

As a buyer I was sent a credit card by Overstock without applying and prior had spent nearly a thousand dollars. I had orders that I was told shipped and never did and I proved it. I canceled the order when the agent verified it had not shipped and they still tried to make me keep it, and make me pay to return it even when I proved it didn’t ship. I sent 20 emails explain what was wrong and they were ignored and I was told even though I don’t have the item when I get I will need to pay $160 to return it. I had already bought a new desk and received while they still didnt know where the original was but insisted I pay for it.

When we sold our hand-made to order furniture on Overstock we had to make all orders out of pocket. This is thousands of dollars a week, then hope to get paid on time by Overstock on time which rarely happened, fees fees and no payments made on time and the right a amount, EVER. And sometimes they screwed completely and never paid us while letting customers keep free furniture. I 3k sofa but when I wanted to return a $400 desk that I didn’t have the demanded I pay to return it while I had proved it had not even shipped out.

When we shipped our products via Overstocks shipping carriers we had over 50k in lost, stolen or damaged merchandise that nearly closed our business. I sent emails, made calls and pleaded to the CEO, President and any upper management persons that might have cared and listened, nobody did, nobody cared they made excuses and people tried to simply put it back on us to save their jobs. We had unreal damage done to our business. I even found out the manager of one carriers had our stolen sofa in his living room they did nothing but forced us to continue using them. They didn’t care about our loses they didn’t care about paying us they didn’t care about anything. Often they even cancelled orders mid-shipment after we made them by hand to order for people.

Every single week we had to fight to get what was owed to us, Overstock never listened or cared huge issues and when we found them out and called them out on all the problems and proved every single one and the money they still owe us then they cancelled my credit card and kicked us off their site as power sellers that sold 50k a month for them, like that! Yes they took my personal buyer experience as a customer and discriminated against me and then kicked us off their selling site. This business has issues like you wont believe, their executives have no idea what people are doing to customers and partners. They didn’t even care after pleading that they were going to be responsible for the closing of our business because of their issues. I have all my emails to prove this, and my efforts to reach people even via LinkedIn because the people we had as help never cared and did their best to hide their incompetency.

Do not sell her or buy in Overstock. I use to sell furniture Overstock I made them over 300k year, because they marked up items over 1k for their greedy profit and most of the time never paid us correctly. The took complete advantage of people who sell on their site and Zero accountability.

After a year of their shipping carriers we were forced to use stole and damaged over 50k worth of our future we had financial issues. I brought all these issues to a head even to the President, they still took no responsibility and just kept threating to kick us off the site if we kept making issue of our loses and issues caused by the dysfunction of their poorly managed business. We made all orders out of pocket sometimes spend 10k a week to fill order that paid us 2k the next, all kinds of fess lost items you name it.

We still tried to work through but they are a mess their customer service is horrible and again we started losing money. We don’t have this issue ever on Amazon or Wayfair, Ever.

Next thing I know I get a credit card for 3k from them, never applied so I bought some items including a new desk to work on mostly their account. I was sent an email stating it shipped. The tracking didn’t work and I had to plan on my old desk being sold and out, well based on the ship date even though it had no tracking since I’m in this business I knew it would be here in a week, a week no tracking I called Customer service I sent chat message emails you name it all I got was a cut paste reply. Then I forced a person toc all the manufacture and they in fact verified it never shipped, I said I don’t want it I don like being lied to. I filled a refund 3 times they ignored it and I ordered a new desk, it showed up like normal and I took it and liked it, I bought a cabinet for it too, a week later they tell me the other desk is here to be delivered. I said I canceled that I don’t want it, they said I had to take it or pay $160 to return it, are you kidding me. On top I ordered a knife holder it came broken, I order a phone case that said it fit my phone, not even close. I left normal reviews I sent angry message to customer service because after explaining to 10 different people wasting hours of my time nothing at all was done to accommodate or say sorry either than sorry your right that first desk never shipped even though they said it did. Don’t trust the shipping carriers they will steal, loose and damage 70% of all orders this is a true stat.

To make this even more amazing, they cancelled my credit card too only because I left real reviews of my experience. Then they discriminated against me and kicked us off the site as a selling partner that made them a lot of money due to their huge markups. So I have had nothing but issues with his company and I don’t suggest anyone to buy or do business here, you will regrets it all.

On October 13, 2016, I ordered two cabinets from Overstock.com:

The part (Hinge Plates M-2) that allows the doors to be connected to the cabinet were missing for both of the cabinets.

There was a notification providing an email address to request missing parts, which I used detailing all information regarding the product and the name and number of the missing parts.

It took between 7-10 days to receive these parts, and when I opened the package, Metal Hinges (7/8”) w/Spring-M-1 had been sent, rather than the correct Hinge Plates M-2, needed to put the cabinets together.

At this time I contacted Overstock.com directly, and told them I wanted the correct parts overnighted immediately, and was told the warehouse did not overnight parts.

I did get a voice message saying the parts would be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday, they were delivered on Saturday when I was out of town.

When this second shipment of parts was opened on, November 26, 2016, again I had been sent Metal Hinges (7/8”) w/Spring-M-1 had been sent, rather than the correct Hinge Plates M-2, needed to put the cabinets together. I now have 16 of the incorrect parts and 0 of parts needed to make the purchased product usable.

After realized I had again been sent the wrong parts, I contacted Overstock.com on Saturday, November 26, 2016, and was told the warehouse was closed. But McKenzie the customer service representative assured me, that she got to work at 7:30AM MDT, on Monday, November 28, 2016, and would immediately contact the warehouse and provide me an update by telephone at 10:00AM. I made arrangements to be home at this time but, THIS CALL NEVER CAME!!!!

I then spent between 30 to 45 minutes on the Overstock.com’s live chat, receiving apologies for the inconvenience, non-answers about some technical issues precluding their ability to contact to me, and finally an “assurance” that I would be contacted by 5:00PM MDT. However, shortly after this I received an email saying I would be contacted within 24 hours. So which is it? 5:00PM today or within 24 hours. Based on the number of commitments that have been made by your company, none of which have been met, I suspect it is neither. I will not hear from you except automatically generated messages that do not resolve the problem.

In summary, your company has had my money for 6 weeks and I have a completely unusable product stacked in pieces around my dining room walls. Additionally, you have demonstrated a complete and total unwillingness to do anything that would expedite the resolution of this problem which is a result of problems in your operation. Your only solution is to return the product putting the entire responsibility on the customer to work out getting a 100 loose pieces with wooden pegs and metal pins put in them as part of the attempt to put this item together into some kind of container.

I placed an order for multiple products, one of them was not delivered. I contacted Customers Services via Chat . They said that they were going to check with the courier and if the package was not found they were going to send me another one. in 1-4 business days. I contacted them 10 business after, they confirmed that the package was not found and that they were going to send me another one. It's been 32 days since the original order and I'm still waiting. I contacted support three more times and they keep promising a replacement. No new tracking number on the Web site. I'm requesting a refund trough my credit card company, filing an official complaint with BBB and spreading the word.

I bought what I thought were OEM toner cartridges from Overstock.com. When the items arrived I realized they were not OEM. When I tried to initiate a return of the unopened unused cartridges I was told that they will not honor my refund request because it is clearly stated on the product page that the item is not refundable. The cartridges don't even have toner in them and the fine print says that the cartridges are also not refillable??

I now have toner cartridges that can't be filled and Overstock won't give me a refund. I feel deceived. I understand that the fine print is the merchant's attempt to exempt them from liability but I made the purchase in good faith and had no reason to believe that I should've been on alert for details indicating that I could never expect to actually put the product to use in my home as intended. I'm going to contact my bank and hope that the bank will help get money back from these scam artists. Do not buy from Overstock.com unless you read the fine print and thoroughly understand their return restrictions.

I ordered what was described in the product title as a valance set for $30. Upon opening the delivery, there was only 1 valance. I contacted a customer service rep through their online chat and was basically told I was SOL because the quantity in the description did not list 2. So what exactly is a set, then? If they are selling 1 valance, set should not be used in the title. False advertising, horrible customer service. The valance is cheap and definitely not worth the $30.00 I paid for it. First and last time I order from this site.

I ordered an important daily health supplement for my dogs. It never came and when I complained, Ovestockcom would email me that they were so glad they could be of help (after doing nothing) and that the matter was closed. They would not follow up with the carrier to find my order and kept tellling me it was out for delivery that day. This happened numerous times. Finally, UPS informed them that the item was gone and that they needed to file a claim and handle the matter for the customer. Overstock.com, after many more emails in which they said the matter was closed, finally agreed to give me a full refund on my VISA. When I checked with the VISA, they had only given me half of the refund and have not even answered my email in which I demanded the rest of the refund. I don't know if they put it on their store credit, which I do not want, as I refuse to do further business with them, or whether they just intend to get away with cheating me. I want the full refund which is $47 and change. I received $27. I want the rest of the refund on my VISA as promised and I want it now. I have had to pay another entity for the item as my dogs have been without this medication now for quite some time.

I purchased an expensive ($460.00) highback, heavy duty, leather office chair from OVERSTOCK.COM online. When it arrived, the box only contained three pieces; the flat seat, the back of the chair, and one armrest. All of the hardware parts to put it together were missing, as was the assembly manual, the hyrdaulic post, wheelbase, wheels, one armrest, and the assembly manual. In addition, the seatback has a slash in the leather.

I contacted their customer service and had a detailed online chat with one of their representatives. The rep said she would pass the information along to the "Parts Department," and that I would be contacted within two business days.

On the second business day after my customer service encounter, a man from the OVERSTOCK.COM parts department sent me an email requesting that I send him a detailed list, by part number, of all parts missing or damaged. The email contained no information about how to contact him by phone. It was clear that the customer service department failed to pass along the most important details about my complaint. I sent back an email to him, explaining all over again, that I only received 3 parts of the chair, and that one part was damaged .... AND that one of the items missing was the parts manual; so there is no way for me to give him parts numbers.

I suggested that it makes the most sense for OVERSTOCK.COM to simply ship me a whole new chair, and to arrange for me to ship the 3 pieces of a chair I received, back to them.

I have never heard back from OVERSTOCK.COM and as best I can discern, they have done absolutely nothing whatsoever to remedy the problem.

So, I have paid for a new office chair that cost almost $500.00, and they have sent me 3 pieces of a chair! This is why I did not do business with them for several years. They had the reputation for doing this kind of thing and ripping off customers. I, mistakenly, thought they probably had improved and so took a chance. They have improved at all!

What I want from them, now, is either a new chair (sent to me very quickly) and a prepaid voucher to ship the 3 pieces back to them at a local UPS store, at their expense ..... Or, a complete refund of the money I paid.

I am completely outraged at the lack of care and respect that Overstock gives their customers. I had an issue with an item that was Overstock.com's fault and I am the one that has to suffer. First off it took a week to get the item after I purchased it and it has taken over 2 1/2 weeks to get my refund (I still haven't received it and you have had the products in your warehouse for 9 days) I am unable to get the right items until I get my merchandise credit back. How does Overstock even stay in business?? The customers are treated like crap. Ihave contacted them 7 times in regards to this order and I still haven't gotten results. This is literally the worst I have been treated by any company ever.
