My wife called to have our garage door replaced 3 months ago and when the garage door stopped working I called Overhead Door Co of Sioux Falls to come out and figure out why this is not working. I told them over the phone they had just replaced the garage door operational unit 3 months ago and now it isn't working. He said he would send a guy right out to check it out. I told him to make sure the technician calls me to let me know what the issue is. When I got home I had a note on the garage door that said it was fixed.
I just received a bill in the mail detailing out the technician had to replace the sensors and he adjusted the door, serviced the door, serviced the operator, and billed for the service call. When I called them back to find out why I am billed this I talked with the Service Manager Joe who flat out told me they weren't the same company that installed the new operating unit and instead was just going out to service it. I asked him why they didn't tell me that over the phone and he said that isn't their job to tell me that. I asked why they didn't call me before they fixed anything like I asked and he said there is no way for their service tech to know he wasn't supposed to fix the unit. I also asked why he spent so much time adjusting the door, and serving the oportating unit that was just installed 3 months ago and he said that is just normal practice for them.
While I should have realized this was a different company than the one that installed our new operating unit they should have told me that when I called to complain it had already stopped working. Also, if the technician would have called me prior to running up the bill like I had asked then I would have known I needed to call a different company. They just sent someone out and ran up a bill knowing full well I thought this was going to be covered under waranty.

from the owner down this company is a joke stay clear and use another company or you will regret it in the end
