outsource.com makes candidates pay to apply for jobs, then forces them to under-bid each other. When you see a business model like this, run away and don't look back, because it's a scam.
When you check out their site, they boost you to join and buy "credits" in order to apply for jobs. (6 Month Subscription - 30 Credits $137.94)
But the fine type buried in the FAQs and not on the sign up page explains that the number of credits to apply for a job varies from 3 to 9. The impression is that buying 30 credits for $137.00 gives the new member the ability to apply for 30 jobs. There’s no explanation as to how they value the job, but it looks like the higher the budget the more credits are required to apply.
Then they blatantly lie by "guaranteeing" your application will be "opened" by the hiring party and if not, the credit(s) will be refunded back to your account. Needless to say, all six of my applications were opened, magically, within one hour of posting them to the respective jobs. They send you an email with a little green envelope announcing that the hiring person has "opened" your proposal. That’s not proof. That's just a robo-email they generate after you post your resume to a job.
My website address is hyperlinked and prominently displayed at the top of my proposal and resume but not a single one of these employers who supposedly opened my proposal clicked on the link to my website. I have a website stats program and would have seen them hit my site. I've been freelancing since 1999 and I know the ratios for this process. Out of six applications at least two would have clicked on the link. And not even one of them responded to my application through this fraudulent job site. AVOID.
Outsource.com is a total scam. I paid through PayPal and have initiated a dispute to get a refund. Google "Outsource" and "reviews". Wish I had read all of these complaints before I gave them my money.
They are scams fraudsters check their customers reviews. They have refused to reassign me another freelancer. And don't want to reply to my emails or phone calls. How am I gonna get a refund?:http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.outsource.com.
Check my evidence that I have attached about how they stole my money. From the emails, to the job I advertised, and how freelancers, and the website have refused to respond to my emails. Also check their fraudulent payment policy. I have attached all my complaints and emails, and conversations on that website:
