First time college parents beware of this company. They will send you marketing materials that will feel like they are associated with your college and they our not. I am embarrassed to admit my husband and I fell for their gift baskets offer. The business promised 5 gift baskets which all include handwritten notes from the parents that are sent throughout the year. Sounds great right? How convenient for us working parents. Plus they mentioned how everyone gets them so you don't want your student to miss out. Well the first basket never arrived. The good news is she didn't notice because absolutely no one else got one. I spent a long time in queue with their call center who promised to send it again. Nothing came. I spent another hour calling again and was told it would come the following week. 1 month into school. I ended up cancelling everything. Too much effort. I am sad they would not return our handwritten letters we wrote. You can buy gift baskets from Amazon or Walmart with guaranteed 2 day shipping. Poor execution and poor customer service is what kills these companies. When will they learn.
Ordered daughter Exam survival kit that was supposed to be delivered last week, last final is today and she still hasn't received it. Have spent an hour on phone with no response and doing live chat with no help and sent 3 emails with no response. Horrible company don't ever use them. Customer service sucks and don't receive products you order and pay good money for.
Do not order from this company as they are extremely unprofessional and it sounds like a bunch of uneducated junior high kids answering their phones. One girl starting laughing and sounded “ghetto” when I asked her a basic question. “Yuuuuup” was all she could say; not “yes” or “yes ma’am”, but just “yuuuuup”. I called back and received a similiar response from others who were NOT knowledgeable about their products and certainly did not know how to conduct themselves. POOR COMPANY POLICIES AND HIREES. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Still no answers and ABSOLUTELY NO FEEDBACK REGARDING THE MULTIPLE PACKAGES ALL YEAR LONG ORDER WE ORDERED. Save your money and make your own gift baskets to send to your child in her or his dorm.
Don’t waste your money. I ordered the deal where she would get 4 packages throughout the year. She has yet to receive a package on time. She received her first package, OCM had to send her three packages for her second package because they had a totally different name and address. Don’t understand how that happened since she received her first package. Her third package (Valentine’s Day package) has yet to be delivered as of today (2/25). It was sent out by fedex for overnight delivery on 2/22. Now I find out that they don’t have a complete address for her. I have given them her address so many times. And then the Dominos in her area does not take the pizza coupons that came in the “Welcome Package.” I have made so many phone calls to this company and all I get is attitude from everyone I have spoken to. Save your money and make your own care packages. This company is a joke
We fell for the nice packages for college bedding and supplies. An email confirmed the order had been sent. Upon arrival at college the order was not there. The company blamed FedEx for losing it. They assured us it would be sent out on Monday over night to arrive Tuesday. It was never sent. Then we experienced great difficulty getting thru to the company to notify them of the problem. There phones remained constantly busy, and when asked to leave a message and number the voicemail was full and the call would be dropped. Finally, we reached a much less apologetic representative, who stated they would send the order again that day and arrive the next day. A small part of the order arrived the next day. Tracking states 2 more days for the rest of the order. We hope it arrives this time. The manager on the first call promised a 20% refund for our troubles, but no refund has been credited after 11 days. We reminded them on the second call about the refund. Don't leave your kids without their much needed college supplies. Order elsewhere like Target.
Our campus market markets to students who are entering college or are in college. They send out mailers and emails. Products can be purchased individually or as value packs. I ordered the comforter, towels, sheets, and blankets from this site. I had to throw away the blanket. It was very rough and cheap and something you would find in an institution. The comforter is rough and feels firm and not at all soft and plush.
The sheets are not absorbent and pile easily. After two washes they are ripping at the stitching.
The sheets are of very, very poor quality. I have never reported a company before when i tried to send an order back that they sent and charged me on accident, it took four months and 9 phone calls from me ti finally be credited the 436.00 they owed me.
Please be very wary of this company and do not purchase from them.
I placed an order for a care package for my daughter who is in her senior year at UT Austin. I contacted Our Campus Market SEVERAL times regarding this order and the only response I received was that the final exam care package was delivered to the "front desk of the residence hall." After EIGHT additional days of absolutely no notification, I contacted this company via CHAT and was given the same lame excuse that the packager was "delivered to the front desk of the residence hall." They have no name or contact infomration for the deliveries and could provide nothing beyond the scripted response that the package was delivered.
My daughter is a senior and scheduled to graduate within days and further has to move out of the dorm in which the delivery was to occur in the next few days, and the only thing that his company offered was to resend the order and give me a FREAKING FIVE PERCENT refund - $5 dollars! RIDICULOUS! The agent was ver blase' and passive about the whole ordeal. I am livid!! This may be a business for OUR CAMPUS MARKET but it's MORE THAN that for families and loved ones who are depending on this "GUARANTEED" service of theirs. Please be cautioned... they don't care not one bit if the delivery never makes it...though they are careful to get their money!
I am a parent of a graduating senior of Wash U this year. I wanted to order a diploma frame from the brochure that I was sent from On Campus Marketing aka DiplomaDisplay. The mailing letter from Wash U says "We are pleased to let you know that we have arranged discounted $5 FedEx shipping on any diploma frame ordered right now and for a limited time, ...No promo code needed! For fastest confirmation, you can visit our website or call to place your order. If you prefer to mail your order, you can leave off the shipping charge." On the brochure it says "Discounted $5 FedEx shipping when ordered by May 5th. Order online at: wustl6.ocm.com etc or Call 1800-422-4100.” One additional insert says “We have arranged $5 FedEx shipping on any diploma frame ordered right now. For fastest confirmation, you can visit our website or call to place your order.” I went to place my order online, but the shipping showed up as $20. I then spent 45 minutes online chatting with a rep from DiplomaDisplay. He finally agreed that if I would provide my order number (which I hadn’t placed yet), he would process “that refund” presumably meaning the $15 refund we had just been discussing. So, I submitted my order, and he then said he would refund $5, instead of $15. I explained to him that the materials indicated $5 shipping, not $15. He said: “I am sorry Angela the promotion is giving you a $5 discount in shipping. Meaning you will be paying $15 in shipping instead of $20.” I explained to him that the brochure shows the "$20" crossed out and "$5" in its place. And that the letter from the university says "Only $5 Fed Ex shipping on any style of frame". Then he said they have no record of the $5 FedEx shipping, and if I take a picture of the brochure and email it to their Customer Service, they will process the refund, which I did. I have little faith they will honor their word. This is completely deceptive. While Diploma Display may refund my money, I’m concerned about the difficulty with which I was faced in getting the value as advertised. I believe the company is counting on parents just giving up because the $15 is not worth the effort to wrest it out of them and therefore benefitting to the tune of thousands of dollars a year in ill-gained profits.
