OTEL.COM is the worst Hotel Booking Service i have ever encountered. Any legitimate service provider would gladly reimburse someone if they have to cancel for an emergency situation, especially when that Cancellation is made more than 2 weeks in advance of the travel dates. Truth is, OTEL.COM did not cancel the reservation with the Hotel in Bogota in order to justify denying the REFUND Claim.

They refused to acknowledge multiple attempts to determine the status of my Cancellation and then told American Express that i needed to have cancelled the reservation 4 days before i actually made the reservation online...... HOW ABSURD......OTEL.COM is a huge SCAM and their name should be exposed for the "scumbags" that they are..!!!

Several weeks ago, I made a hotel reservation through Otel.com. They charged my credit card up front without guaranteeing me a reservation. I need to cancel my reservation, and they will not return any of my e-mail requests to cancel. I have just read the reviews for this company, and they are terrible! I should have read the reviews before booking. I want my money back, and I want this dishonest company put out of business!

Never ever use Otel.com! They are a scam!

Two month ago I booked a stay in Las Vegas using Otel.com. At first every thing seemed to be fine. I prepaid using my credit card and received my reservation voucher on the next day.

The problems started when I arrived at the hotel one month later. Of course the knew nothing about my booking with Otel.com. I immediately contacted Otel.com. They told me, they would check the issue, but nothing happened. So I ended up having to book another room. This time directly with the hotel.

By now I have filed several request and have written several e mails. As response I always get that they are sorry and that they will start investigating. Often I only get excuses or they claim that somebody else is responsible.

At this time I probably have to accept the fact that my money is gone.

I went through Trivago to book a hotel and somehow ended up at Otel.com. I trusted Trivago so I figured this was how it was supposed to be. I paid for my hotel in full prior to the visit. I received a letter the I was to take to the hotel, telling them NOT to charge me because I have already paid. The hotel looked at the form on check in and didn't really say anything.

The next day a charge showed up on my debit card from the hotel. I spoke to the front desk. All she said was we don't recommend guests go through third party sites! Besides she said, our rate was cheaper than what they charged you. Ok. I then went online to the Otel.com website and use their online chat support. The gentleman was very nice and said they would refund the higher amount back to my card.

That was over 3 weeks ago. I have contacted them several more times with no resolution. I have received a couple of emails from them stating they are atttempting to contact the hotel every day and have heard nothing back. I asked what can I do to facilitate the refund and was not given a response.

I am honestly shocked that a company can just steal money like this! Maybe I'm naive. I'm not sure what to do from this point forward. I did not look online before I booked with them. I wish I had. Now i see the amount of complaints regarding their "business" practices. They are in the business of larceny.
