Their sales tactics are very high pressure and they are NOT transparent. Management is not responsive and they will NOT answer even the simplest questions about their fees and billing over the phone. AVOID this location at all cost.
I don't want to generalize my comments to all of Orange Theory franchises (yes, these are business opportunities purchased by people who are trying to make money and do not have your HEALTH, WELLNESS, OR WELL-BEING as their priority), but I did find similar reports about other locations (do a quick search).
Talk to your PHYSICIAN before trusting Orange Theory workouts (there does not seem to be one employed by OTF as far as I can surmise), because their workouts are not for everyone, and even when you are not medically able to do their program they will continue to charge you. It is kind of like those Columbia House Record "12 records for $ 0.01" deals in the 80s that you were never able to cancel.
Sadly, their workout program could really help some people, but their shady sales tactics FAR OUTWEIGH the good they are doing. Work with your physician and a trainer at the local YMCA-- you'll save a lot of money, too. About $50 a month at the local YMCA vs. Orange Theory's automatic $99* to your credit card every month (*one of the cheapest plans)--for months on end-- until you notice. There you have it-- that's what they'll charge you after the "free introductory workout", but they won't tell you that over the phone. OTF will continue to charge you over and over even if you NEVER take a single class after the "free introductory session" AND even if you are not medically able to continue their program (perhaps you are simply not "elite enough" to work out with them-- see the job posting below).
When you realize you are being charged and call them to cancel, they will tell you that you need to come in and THEN they will tell you that they need a 30 day notice before they will stop charging you. When you go to the (strip mall) location of this "elite" fitness center, the "Fitness Sales Associate" will completely ignore the fact that you are there to cancel your membership and will NOT present you with the paperwork to cancel-- then, APPALLINGLY, they will continue charging you after you leave THINKING you have canceled, but they have swindled you AGAIN!
Emails to the manager explaining your experience with the "Fitness Sales Associate" who did not seem to understand you were trying to cancel your membership do not work either. By the time they call you back, another "billing cycle" will have magically passed. They just keep charging your credit card until you jump through the right hoops.
BEWARE! BE VERY CAUTIOUS! They are looking for you as a silent revenue source and don't seem to care if you ever actually come in to work out-- especially if you are not "elite" enough.
