I wear tri-focals which I got there about two years ago. My distant vision has gotten a bit blurry so I called for appointment, told them what problem was and went in July 28,2017. Told doctor distant vision was bad, couldn't red street signs until I was right at them, other vision was fine. After exam she told me new glasses would help me see better. I go back August 4th to pick up , put them on and I told the man something was wrong, I could not read his name tag from any of the three areas. He told me since it was a new prescription it would take time to adjust, wear my old ones home and put new ones on in the morning. I have worn glasses over 45 years and never been told that but I said OK and went home.

I wore them all weekend with no improvement so went back Monday and told lady still not better, she says have to adjust, wear at least three days, I told her I had and lady beside her says it takes a week if no better by Friday come back and doctor can re-examine. I go back, doc does exam says same as before, that because I have cataracts and an astigmatism vision cannot be improved more than new script, I told her I still cannot see street signs, that vision is no better with new glasses than with old ones and she says it takes time for the brain to adjust and that I will have to get closer to things to see them better. I was told at exam two years go that I had the start of a cataract on my left eye I believe she said but was told it takes years to get bad enough for surgery. Nothing was said about cataracts or astigmatism at exam for new glasses. So I left again hoping that with a few more days it would " adjust ". I tried driving with them for the first time the next day and cannot even see dash well enough to see what my speed is. My distant vision is the same with new glasses as it is with old ones, no improvement at all, in fact it is slightly better with my old ones. I should have been told at initial exam that vision could not get better or at the least that it might not get better, instead I am told new glasses will help me see better.

Bottom line here is this: no matter what eye conditions I have I am not seeing better as I was told I would, if they cannot improve my vision they should say so and not try to convince me I will adjust to new glasses. Since this happened I have read complaints where people have had same issue so I am not first. I am now $168 poorer and have glasses that sit on my table. Company should do the right thing and refund my money. I will say this, my previous experiences with them were good, upon putting new glasses on my vision was immediately better but not this time, and my husband who went in just a few weeks prior had good results. I have contacted corporate but it is the weekend so I don't expect any contact for a day or two .
