Ordered men’s watches ( Bluelans California company). Credit card was charged, USPS shipping was created, but no movement after 10 days. Contacted Opensky customer service, they "contacted” Bluelans. New FedEx tracking number was sent to me: only problem its Going to a different state. (???) After 14 days Opensky washes its hands of the problem. Total cyber fraud scam. Don’t get scammed from these people !!!!! Complain to New York Attorney General of you’ve been ripped off by this company.

Open Sky is a rip off. They take your pre-paid up front money and refused to close your account and destroys your credit score with late payments although the money is in your account.

BEWARE: OpenSky CC is NOT worth your time and frustration.

I am hoping to prevent someone else from going through the same issues.

Unfortunately, I had a stroke a couple years ago, causing my credit to take a substantial hit. In the process of recovery, I have been working hard to be responsible and am trying to rebuild my credit.

They claim, "OpenSky card offers an easy and convenient way to build credit." This process has been anything but easy. Here is a log to the frustration that has ultimately pushed me to my decision to cancel the application.

July, 20 2017 - I logged on to their website and noticed that they didn't have a secure site for their application. NO SSL, NO HTTPS, making the information open to a hacker attack.

I am a software engineer and penetration tester, I find security risks for companies like this on their network and software, which is why I would not use an unsecured site.

I finally found a secure site to use, however, it wasn't the first option. The same day I was emailed stating that my address was not good, because it was a UPS store and not a physical address. I contacted them through email, letting them know that I understand the reason for the physical address and the reason I needed to use the UPS store for my mailing address. I have had people steal my debit cards from my mail box and got the mail box to overcome that security risk. I asked them if that would be an option, considering they don't give a mailing address option in the application.

July 24, 2017 - After not hearing back from the email, I decided to contact them at 855.763.6736. I spoke with a rep and asked the same question as in the email I had sent. She assured me that it would be fine to have both addresses on my application. She said that all I needed to do was send a pic of my VALID Arizona state ID with my physical address on it. I took the picture and tried to upload it through the web address that was provided, to find that the image was too large for the site. I compressed the image and uploaded it.

July 25, 2017 - I finally received an email from Rae N, stating the same response from the previous rep. Moments later, I received the same email as I did on July 20th, stating that I needed to provide proof of my PHYSICAL address. I again called and spoke with another rep. She stated that my ID looked like it had been tampered with by Photoshop. I asked her what I should do at that point, she said to take a image with me holding my ID to the side of my face. REALLY!!!! I took a different picture with my iPhone and again had to compress it, so that their site would accept it.

July 28, 2017 - Again, I received an email stating they needed to have proof of PHYSICAL address. I contacted and spoke with Robert and again explained my frustration. He said that it's for security reasons, that they are being so difficult. He told me that they didn't want the wrong person getting this card and buying things on my credit... I responded "Wait, this is a secured card, my money is the collateral, and you are not granting me any credit. What risk are you guys actually taking." He stated that the application department is saying they can't read the ID. So I again took another one and uploaded it.

Aug 3, 2017 - I received the same email requesting my proof of address, and called them again. This time I spoke with Rae N. She told me that she could see the issue and my address didn't match the original one on the application. My physical address was supposedly added during the first phone call. She read the address off of the image that I uploaded and added it to the application. Yes, she actually could read it.... She assured me that she would be calling me back that day, once she got it figured out. I didn't receive a call back.

Today Aug 4, 2017 - Got the same email, stating proof of address required. I again, called and spoke with Robert. He told me that the application department could not read the address on my ID. That's amazing, considering Rae N did the previous day. I withdrew my application.

These people have no intention of moving forward with my application process. They have had my money now for 2 weeks and now tell me that I won't get it back for a minimum of 5 more business days. They take your money and act like you are some kind of thief, trying to steal people's identification and credit, when they don't give you credit to begin with. They will just waste your time...

I recommend you find another option other than doing business with OpenSky....

Very disappointing, to say the least!
