This company is using false advertising claiming to be the original yellow pages asking for a simple update on information. What they don't list on their "ad" is that this "ad" is actually an invoice and by filling out information you are agreeing to their terms - which is listed in tiny, unreadable print. We do not require services they offer, and do not need a listing for our company in any directory. Therefore, we would never agree to pay a company to list us.

An employee of ours, unaware of their false advertising, filled out the form thinking they were simply updating information, not agreeing to anything. We were then sent a bill stating we would need to cancel within 10 days to not be charged, which was received well after the 10 day opportunity we had to cancel. Otherwise we would have cancelled right away. We then contacted the company informing them the owner must authorize such agreements, and did not. They insist we have agreed to their so called "contract" and refuse to drop the charges.

Agree whole heartedly

We have had the same experience and the employee had faxed it I sent a fax stating absolutely not 2 hrs and 12 minutes after she had faxed paper and they said it was too late. I just messaged yellow pages to see if they are affiliated and I wrote a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they still sent me an invoice

What is the solution?

I had the same problem a year ago, and now they are asking me to pay 1950$, I'm convinced that it's a scam, and a false advertising, but my boss want to pay them to avoid legal problems, someone tells me what to do with these people.

Scum

My company just received a call from these people...they said they had the signature of the president of the company....when asked to produce the document they sent a signed document with a forged signature. Are there any lawyers out there that want to do a class action suit?

Complete scam

OK, here's the scoop. They are a complete scam. Note that they are located outside of the USA and have no location or business in the USA. They cannot sue you. They also cannot be stopped by USA authorities as they have no, none, zero business in the USA. Do not pay them -- they are corporate terrorists and a completely fraudulent business. if you feel like you should pay them, please contact your local BBB, your Chamber of Commerce, or if available for a nominal cost, your corporate attorney. I have gone down the rabbit hole and am now committed to spend as much time informing others about this scam as they spend coming after my company for their deceitful gains. Again -- they cannot touch you if you are in the USA. You cannot get them to stop harassing you -- simply throw their stuff away. If you happen to have an office in another country and can sue these guys back to the stone age, please do. I would, but apparently there's nothing we can do about it... unless you want to give all your money to a Nigerian Prince who can take care of it for you. Again -- these are terrorists! DO NOT PAY.

Open Business Solutions turns overdue billings to collections to a Company names Stewart, Mathis & Associates 2809 Grand Ave., Everett, WA 425-740-3500

Someone in our office received this business listing stating "THIS IS NOT A BILL" signed and sent back. This all started in 2014 and this company has continued to send yearly billings now adding up to 3564.00 We now have received a notice from a collection agency and I have called them regarding this scam. I have googled this company as well and not sure but they seemed legit. I explained to them that no one has authority in my office to purchase anything without my consent they didn't care. I have read all the comments below and as I thought its a scam. I am not paying them anything.

Chill Out People

Don't grieve folks. There is nothing Open Business Solutions, LLC or Yellow-Page-USA.com can do to you. Have you noticed that they only communicate through fax or from foreign post? That is so they won't get nailed for mail fraud in the US. I got sucked into this in 2012 when an employee received a call from them saying they were the Yellow Pages and were offering a free facebook page, just for signing a fax.. He did and shortly thereafter a bill for $1,200 and change arrived. It's 2016 and the last bill was around $5,000.

Back when they had a US mailing address I would send an occasion "get lost" letter but now that it takes international postage (Switzeland) I have quit responding altogether.

Based on what I have read above I am betting none of you have tried to use the yellow-page-usa.com web site. If you did you would know beyond a doubt that these folks are bush league, pisssants, that are only half-assed good at being a pest. If they were anything close to legitimate, their web site would be useful. Some easy clues - Look at the links on the bottom of the page, listings include "New for 2011" (I am writing this in 2016), "Ansonylon" (I think they meant Anso Nylon), "Convenient Store" (guessing Convenience Stores for this one). One of my favorites is "Free HBO" (WTF), when you click on it here are the first 4 listings:

* 1st American Flowers-Free Same Day Delivery Box 238 | Wellesley Island, NY, US 13640

*1-2-Free Link Exchange 9046 Camino Real | San Gabriel, CA, US 91775 Tel: 6264326968

* Days Inn 407 W Diamond Dr | Salina, US 67401-8603 Hot deluxe breakfast, Hot tub & pool, Free HBO, Free Wifi, Free parking Tel:7858239791

* America's Best Inn & Suites 39 SW Commerce Drive | Lake City, US 32025-1503 Free wi-fi interior corridor rooms, Free HBO, Free local calls,

For a time I randomly called businesses listed and gave the owners the bad news about how they were being scammed. Maybe I talked with one of you. Most of the folks that I talked to said they were not advertising with Yellow-Page-USA.com which leads me to believe they stuff there listings, thinking it makes them look more legitimate.

I have given up fighting these folks and won't ever send a dime. Sadly though I did cancel my company's Real Yellow Pages ad because I did not want to take a chance that these scum buckets would get paid by accident. The people that should really be fighting this fight is the Real Yellow Pages as I know it is costing them legitimate business.

They just sent me a collections letter.

Same story as everyone else. However we are going into year 4 of ignoring them so our bill is now $4752. I called a few weeks ago (which I just read only encourages them) because the "automatic" yearly renewals are getting annoying, and now they are sending my company to collections. It's not real collections right? What do I do if someone "from collections" does call me?

it's not real

If there is a company in the USA that is actually able to chase you for money please let all of us know so we can go after these guys.

We received a fax asking us to verify address and information. It stated in big bold letters this is not a bill. They had some of our information wrong so I fixed it and sent it back to them. I am new to my company and just started doing paperwork for them. When I got the fax from Open Business solutions saying it was for yellow pages ad and it needed to be reviewed, I fixed what they had wrong and sent it back in. I was never told, nor was any of the workers before me told that there was a 3 cancellation period of three months before the beginning of the new year or they would automatically bill us. I tried to get it cancelled. We did not want to be listed on the yellow pages, our business has a website and other advertisement and we were in not need of the services. They ignored my first few attempts to get them to cancel our listing, and then blamed me for their fax not being legible to read. I sent the fax back to them in January and it took them until almost March to contact us the first time and that was when they sent us a bill. I have attempted 4 different times to get this resolved through the open business solutions company, and they have been nothing but rude towards us trying to resolve it. I looked into it and found out we were not the first company to have this happen to us. I have seen other complaints and even some under the better business bureau. The Open Business Solutions I guess is not even accredited under the BBB.

Expensive Scam

This has also happened to our company. Initially, I got ahold of a woman at the office number they listed. She had a foreign accent and was difficult to understand. I explained the same story that others have encountered: fax reading 'THIS IS NOT A BILL', the small print at the bottom was illegible, the whole form and premise was misleading. She didn't want to talk and kept referring me to another American phone number and an email. The phone number had been disconnected, the email bounced back and I never got anyone to answer the original phone number again. Today, almost a year later, I received a letter stating that our failure to pay $1,188.00 is being referred to their Legal Department in Germany and that all further payments and correspondence must now be sent to Frankfurt, Germany. Can they really cause legal issues for our company?!!

Do not send any money to Open Business Directory

This company is a complete scam. If there is a way to harass them, do so. Some options you may want to try is calling the company and harassing them every time that they send you a fax. Also file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Expensive Scam

I would not worry too much about it, they did that to my company 5 1/2 years ago and even though the amount owed changes periodically, they have never done anything. and after getting the bill I went out and checked for listings and never could find anything that they supposedly advertised for us. I would sure not lose any sleep over it. They are simply hoping with their high pressure tactics to bully people into paying their scam.

SCAM

This exact thing has happened at our business as well. The original fax looks like yellow pages and asks to correct any wrong information. A new staff member corrected the information and faxed it back to them and we have been hounded about payment since. We are refusing to pay for this scam and continue to receive faxes from this company with threats about legal action and collections.

I was faxed a request to look at my listing and make any corrections. It was not clear that this was not our regular phone book that comes out in our city. Instead in large print it says "THIS IS NOT A BILL". It is very deceptive because it appears that this is your nomal listing in the AT&T phone book that just needs correcting. There is a place to sign and date but the section that talks about other terms is so small that it is illegible coming through the fax. The only thing that can be read is again stating that this is not a bill or invoice and that you are under no obligation to purchase. Now I am being hounded for payment even after I requested to be taken off the order and stating I felt they had used deception to get my signature. They continue to say I have not responded and are sending me to collections.

Scam

They are doing the same thing to our company sent a fax over wanting to make sure company info was correct and the girl in the office sent it back and now they have sent a bill for 1288.00, I have called and told them we are not going to pay I did not sign anything and that they should not pretend to be who they are not and that they are scammers and I will seek legal advise. I think its a shame that they are getting by with this.

In 2012 we received a request to update our phone listing. The forms had all of the appropriate visual ques identifying it as our phone company. We actually mistakenly paid $1,238.00

It was, of course, not the company we do business with.

Right away we then sent them a letter to cancel all services and discontinue contact, that we considered them fraudulent. We also contacted the Attorney General's Office of Washington State.

This company made no indication of cancellation and has since contacted us via fax multiple times per month, from different locations for the last 4.5 years.

India

United Arab Emirates

United Kingdom [London]

The list goes on.

The amount goes up and down as well.

Contacting them only indicates to them that you are a "live and concerned" party. When we discontinued replaying the faxes slowed after a while. Recently they have stepped up again.

Now they claim to be a new company that has been informed by the older company that we owe an even higher amount. $3,564.00.

We will file their paperwork and ignore them again.

Yellow Pages_US/Open Business Directory, LTD/Digital Marketing Services

Good information. My business has been dealing with Yellow pages-US/Open Business Directory, LTD, now Digital Marketing Services for the past 5 years. The BBB in Boston suggested not to respond to their faxes or mail. One of their "fake" adresses was reportedly located in Boston then tehy changed to Germany & in Switzerland with their main location in Dubai. My business has received @ least one threat per month that if my company fails to pay them they will turn the unpaid invoices to collections. I never signed a contract but they have what looks like my signature. I own a psychotherapy business can only practice in one state under certain insurance companies. I can't use their services. Each month Yellow pages-US/Open Business Directory either offers me a chance to reduce the amount of the monies they claim I owe or increase it by hundreds of dollars if I fail to pay. They threaten to ruin my credit via collections but they never do. They can't. They aren't leigit. According to Yellow Pages-US/Open Business Directory/ Digital Marketing services, my company owes over $7,100.00. I am so tired of their harassing faxes & threatening letters but I''ll be darned if they receive 1 cent from me. I have to keep reminding myself every time I receive any type of communication from them that this is a scam.

NDC received a fax from Open Business Solutions which asked if we would like to be included in the Spring 2016 Yellow Pages, as it stated we previously had been. In this fax--which was not legible due to poor image quality--were neither the terms and conditions of a binding contract nor prices for such services.

When we subsequently received a bill we were in shock at the cost of such a service. In today's world the value of such service would be of limited use due to availability of the internet listings. The amount for a two year YP listing was more than a thousand.

Our company is a non-profit (read lacks funding) and sourced via a state hotline. Not much need for YP, but we did not think there was any cost at all.

After telephoning to inquire about canceling, I was told to put it in writing through any of three modes and I submitted a cancellation letter via all three: post, fax and email.

We received a response stating that we could not cancel our service because the fax was binding a binding contract that "clearly stated" the terms!

There was nothing clear about it!! The print was tiny and illegibile as small print often is that is received over facsimile.

When I called to follow up, I asked to escalate the issue with a manager, explaining the situation. I was met with great resistance and given no further recourse than to write another letter, explaining the situation and address it to the Contracts Department.

They were rude, evasive, and threatening. Their practices are fraudulent and deceptive.

I no longer work for the comany for whom this will be an issue but I feel so strongly that I have taken time to write this.

This company is a complete scam

They have been faxing me bogus bills for 5 years and threatening me with legal action. They are extremely rude when I call them, so I am even ruder. Every time that they fax me a bogus bill, I call them and harass them. I am going to start faxing a stack of black paper to them in order to drain all of the ink out of their fax machines.

Over 5 years ago i received a bill from OPEN BUSINESS SOLUTIONS. When i investigated and read how it is a gigantic scam, i ignored it. These bastards made a terrible attempt to forge my signature and then have the audacity to try to send me a bill for services i didnt want or requested. Every year they send a bill, and i tell them that this is fraud and not my signature and to go F*** themselves. And they wont stop sending this outrageous garbage to my office. i will gladly see them in court cause i want them to try to convince authority that this bogus signature is real

THEY'RE AT US AGAIN, 3RD YEAR IN A ROW

These guys are unreal! the form they sent us that is supposed to show that we "authorized" back in 2015... is not my bosses signature. So they forged it, sent it and want 3 years of annual fees. NOPE. I'd love to get a summons in Massachusetts and walk in to germans at a small claims court. never gonna happen. trash!

Ring them off the hook

Everyone being bothered by this scam should just call their phone # 855 579 2910, and let it ring off the hook. Over and over. They are a couple person operation from what I've found. They'll eventually have to change their number and have to get the new number out to everyone they are currently scamming. Then we just ring the new number off the hook, and so on, and so on.

  • Feb 2, 2017

Black Fax them

Their fax number is 855 579-2911. Fax a stack of completely black pages to them. It will jam their fax machines and use up all of their ink.

  • Oct 17, 2016

SCAM

Our company is battling this scam since September of last year. We filed complaints with the FTC, the Attorney General of Florida and the BBB. Obviously, all of them know about it but nobody puts a stop to this scam or this company. Our bill has doubled since the last letter we received. What a surprise!

We will not pay them, nobody should send them a dime.

SCAM SCAM SCAM

These cowards have been sending the same threatening letters and faxes. Has a Germany address at bottom. I replied multiple times via fax to cease & desist. Letters continue. SOB's! Same crap what everyone is saying. Even included a supposed IP address used. Typed it in browser and asks to make private. Do NOT reply to them and warn office staff.

No Fax received, but magically a bill arrived...?

Everyone here mentions a fax that was sent. I've never received a fax, but all of a sudden a bill arrived for $1188.Huh? Are there there other ways they get info to put a company in this position? We are now on our "third reminder" & we are not paying them a dime. My boss was going to contact them, but we decided no contact was the best contact. Any advice on this situation?

  • Aug 30, 2016

Just ignore them, block email on your server too

Over 5 years now and we laugh every time we get a new invoice.

Don't pay them, don't even talk to them. Block faxes. Block mail or just throw it out. Block emails from their domains, preferably at the server level and be sure to inform your staff that they may keep trying to get you to pay.

In bigger companies, it's easy for a new person to sign off a form that looks harmless. It's also very easy for an accounting department to pay something that's just over $1000 automatically because it would cost them too much to handle manually. That's their true target, but they go for anyone who's willing to believe that they can get anything from you.

DON'T FEED THE CYCLE! DO NOT PAY THEM! They are scum trying to take your hard earned money.

  • Aug 16, 2016

It's my turn

I just rec'd a bill from them not even knowing them for $ 1,888.00. I called the number and said what is this and she explained they are a business administration company and that they did work for me - so i told her to stop this - cancel it and they only cancel in writing - she said she would mail me the invoice i agreed too which I didn't -

According to you all I guess we should file and laugh -

between the phone call scams - IRS etc. and now these - wow

  • Jul 29, 2016

Yep,another YP scam!

I won't repeat what has been described multiple times by other people except to say that a new employee updated the information and saw the large phrase: "THIS IS NOT A BILL", made the corrections and send it in. We will not pay it and I will refer this to our attorney for action if they persist.

Scam

This company is a complete scam. They sent a fax to my office and talked one of my new employees to sign it. Then never sent a bill to my office for 6 months. Then sent me to collections.. No mail from them. No bills. Just a letter that I was in collections. I have been in business for 23 years and have never missed payments.

This company extorts money and that is it. New type of mob.
