I have been a customer with only1 for several years and I til recently would recommend them.to everyone. I receive social security disability. This is.my.only.income the day of my direct deposit i went to an atm.machine to withdraw $20. The machine "retained" my card, I called o ly 1 and was informed they needed me to fax my Id to them to "reverify" my identity and after I complied they would issue a new card to me although this was inconvenient and I felt a phone call or email asking me for this would have been more respectful to me, I faxed them their required docuemnts. I was then charged 35.00 for the "express shipping" and would receive my card in 3-5 business days. the card came and when I tried to activate it the securoty code on the catd was not valid. Now they need to cancel this new card and issue me another. They offer to waive the 2nd charge for the express shipping. A week goes by, no card I call. Card was shipped out , expect within 3-5 business days.
At this point I am not able to access my.money for 8 days now. This is the only money I have. To avoid tje late fee on my rent, I borrow the money with the promise.my card has mailed out the card doesn't and still has not come. I call. I am told three times the card has shipped to me. on the 9day I call and ask for a supervisor. she informs me the card has not been mailed and they are having "printing issues" I explain I have no other money. I cannot buy food or pay my utilities. This is the 16th day. As of an hour ago, they have not resolved the printing issue and offer no alternative to getting me my money. My power was shut off. I have no food or gas and though I have explained this to only 1 ad nauseam, they claim there isn't anyway to wire me my funds or otherwise give me access to my money. Further, they state they will call.me when their issues have been resolved I have an expected temperature of 9 degrees this weekend . I had to go to the food bank for food for my children and I now have late fees incurred on other bills that I will have a very hard time.paying Something isn't right here. It is a very strange coincidence that after 7 years as a customer, the day my direct deposit comes to them they block my account and need to reverify identification. Now they are unable to issue a new catd and don't k ow when they will be able to they have no alternative way to give me my own money they have had my 1298.00 for 16 days now and I am without electricity for 3 days and about to face very cold temperatures with absolutely no idea when I will be able to pay my bills or buy groceries, not to.mention pay back the loan I got to pay my rent. I call every morning and every evening. I email them twice a day and I receive back one email with the same wordin. "We are sorry for the iinconvenience and we will contact you when we have an update. We are not able to wire your funds to you . We have no alternative methods to send you your money. We have no idea when this printing issue will be resolved . " Something isn't right here. The timing of the social security deposits, the card sent to me that wasn't a valid card and now this.
