To register my child at school, I was asked for a copy of his birth certificate. For it, I trusted this company. It seems that some people had problems but that's not my case. They handled my petition and sent me the document within 3 business days.
First mistake - I searched online for birth certificate.
Second mistake - I trusted what looked to be a legit site and filled out the form and paid the requested $47.00
First indication I was scammed - I received email stating the following:
"Congratulations, your payment has been successfully completed.
You have purchased through our secure online website, our preparation assistance services for a birth certificate application.
We would like to inform you, that this transaction will appear on your bank statement identified as "Vital Records".

Our team of experts will review your application to confirm that the information provided is correct according to the state requirements.
Once the review is complete, you will receive your mistake-free application along with the personalized instructions so you can complete the process."
Wait! Hold on! So I can complete what process - you took my money - what other process is there to complete.
....wait for it...
Relization that I'd been had - email with a generic pdf with my information filled in telling me that in order to get my birth certificate I needed to print out and sign the pdf along with any other documents that the state required (see your states vital statistics department online or in person for this information), put it all in an envelope with any fees the state needs to process my request and - Just like that! The state would send me my birth certificate!
Wife ordered a copy of her birth certificate but it never arrived.
When I asked to see how she did it she shows me this site that looks like a .GOV site.
The only thing they promess on the $47 dollar emial receit is a pre-filled "mistake-free application" for your birth certificate and it will be delivered in 10 to 14 weeks.
They do not provide birth or death certificates, they claim to provide "vital records"
>You pay $47 and wait 14 weeks for the certificate application filled out by them, - NOT A CERTIFICATE
The website makes you think you are paying for the retrieval of the records, but it is only a fee for them to fill out the form (and even though its one form for multiple records, they charge more for each form you requested).
They take the items you fill in on their website form and transfer them to the appropriate state vital records request which you then have to print, sign, notarize and mail with MORE fees to the state office. This is deceptive practices.
On-line Vital US This company is a scam all right! There are other legitimate outlets (like VITAL RECORDS DIRECT) that will provide you with the actual service of getting death and birth certificates......ONLINE VITAL US is not one of them. While I was distracted I clicked on what I thought was a service I’ve previously used and got ripped off for 49 bucks. The other service actually provides you with the documents and an overnight shipping option. ...now I still have to pay the city’s fee on top of the $49.00....

The end of January 2019 I ordered 2 official birth certificated for my Grandaughter from Connedticut and 2 from Alaska for my Son on the same day.
