I purchased a lifetime Quicken technical support program from One Stop Global Solutions approximately February 2017. I had to upgrade my Quicken software because it was no longer compatible. I needed technical support with downloading. When I contacted the link for tech support I was directed to this source. These people were very convincing. I purchased the lifetime package for $999.00 paid via credit card. They were helpful until today. I was told by my tech that they could no longer be of service because my Quicken account has been corrupted. I asked about a refund for the $999 and he quickly ended the conversation. Then I did some research and learned they've been ripping people off like this. I am very disappointed with Quicken. I've used it for years and my financial advisor wants me to keep detailed reports o spending, etc.
They are fraud's and rip offs. I too have paid that much and they did not honor their contract for lifetime upgrades and protection. Shame on them. SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
I paid One Stop GLobal Solutions $399 for five years of Quicken and Turbo Tax software and SERVICE. The first year they supplied the software. The second year they demanded that I pay for additional services before they would give me any software. After demanding the software in several calls, it was provided. This year they would not provide any software making numerous excuses on several telephone calls.
In November 2016 I called Intuit for a problem with a Quicken account. I don't recall whether I got the number from the Intuit or Quicken WEB site. They talked me into paying $399.99 for a 5-year support package that would include free upgrades. They did, in fact, fix my Quicken problem.
Now that Quicken 2018 is available I contacted Quicken to find out how to get my free upgrade. Turns out, they have no connection to 1 Stop Global Support and have no idea who they are. They do not offer free upgrades and support is free unless you but a premium support package for $49.
I'd been lucky, so far, in not falling for any phishing emails or other scams, but looks like I finally fell for one.
On february 10, 2017 i called quiken support to help me with my banking journal entries. A fellow identified himself only as perter, working for quicken asked for access to my quicken account. We worked online for 45 minutes and it appeared the problem was solved. I called back next day as the problem persisted and was told my account had been hacked but he could correct it.
'peter' offered a 5 year plan for $799 that would answer and solved any quicken problems. I was hessitant to give my bank account and 'peter' insisted he was a legit quicken support and offered the plan for $599. He would not take a credit card, then he emailed me a contract with an intuit logo, which i signed and gave my bank account. On feb. 17, 2017 my bank account was debitted for 599.97 from one stop global quicken.
On march 25, 2017 i reached out to 'peter' with another question; unhappy with the servie, i decided to cancell my contract. He said the full amount could not be returned and promised that my account would be credited $399.00 in 21 days.
I failed to check up on the refund right away assuming the amount had been refunded. By august 30, 2017 the funds have not been creditted. The telephone number i had used to reach peter has a recorded message "no longer in service".
I see now from outscam that others have had same experience. I hope we can get our money back!
Total Scam. And i fell for it. $499. via bank ach to fix so called problems on my Quicken Account. They ran a free virus scan on my computer, after I gave them access to my desktop. How stupid am I. The next time they call me I will be calling my attorney general's office in my state and filing a complaint.
I thought I was having a problem with Quicken 2015, was sort of desperate, and initially thought I was dealing with Quicken, or at least a Quicken subcontractor, but realized after they had remotely logged in that was not true. Without getting into details, I made a $400 mistake; the support I received I could have received free from Quicken. I can't dispute the charge because they wouldn't take a credit card, only accept a bank transaction. One of life's lessons that I'll kick myself for a while for being so stupid.
I could not contact Quicken via phone or chat as the services did not respond. I found One Stop Global Solutions who sold me what seemed to be a legitimate version of Quicken and offered five years of software for Quicken and Turbo Tax for $399. The software worked fine at first. Then I had a problem and called their support. They told me my computer and Quicken had been hacked and I needed to buy additional service to solve the problem.
I told them I would not and fixed the so called hack by installing Windows 10. When an automatic update to the software occurred, I could not access any financial accounts. I called their support number again and received a recorded message that my account was not valid. Their system only had the telephone number from which I called to do any verification.
I still cannot contact Quicken support via phone or chat as my password is not valid anymore.
