OMG National Reviews

  • Aug 19, 2022

I contacted them in mid may explaining I needed help attracting new clients. I am in my own business since 1993 and the COVID years were among my best as I helped my clients secure funds from their retirement plans and irrevocable trusts when very few were working. This year things slowed to a halt like I never witnessed. I am listed in Best Experts in America for several disciplines.

I wanted their assistance with google maps. They suggested an ad campaign with Facebook explaining that google maps would do very little for me even though it worked well since 2008. I did my own optimization until Microsoft shut down its platform forcing me to retain Go Daddy to service the website, I designed in 2007.

Google Maps did change their algorithm early this year forcing people like me either to advertise with Google or some other way. I questioned the wisdom of using Facebook because the audience that retains me is very targeted requiring 5 specific overlapping demographics to qualify the leads to turn into clients.

I did some advertising myself on Facebook over the past several years and it never produced any interest. OMG assured me that they had extensive experience with it and that such demographics existed. {This turned out to be the final lie that I did not know was a lie until I required seeing the demographics at my landing page, causing me to retain google ads and terminate OMG.)

I signed the month-to-month contract on May 20. They charged a $199 set up fee and $399 per month to monitor and navigate the effectiveness and promised me that it would take two weeks to begin the campaign (first lie) and the first month of the campaign would be free (second lie) and that the $399 billing would not begin before the campaign had become active (third lie).

One month later they charged $399, and the campaign had not begun because they were experiencing some difficulty with the setup at Facebook. They didn't launch the campaign until July 1.

Unlike Google ads where people do not see them unless they do a google search looking for someone like you, Facebook ads appear at the targeted audience on their page the day they receive the ad lasting that one day.

Thus, its viability was strictly contingent that it could weed out 9985 out of every 10,000 of a random audience, defining Facebook users to meet the five demographic criteria and find the select audience that could be receptive to the services I offer, and then who might retain me was contingent on their willingness to spend the money and their self-recognition they might need my help.

I estimated I could capture between 3% and 5% of that targeted audience. Given that the campaign cost me an additional $600 per month going to Facebook the ads reached under 30,000 per month. Thus, they would be correct, and this would be profitable if they could target only that 15 out of 10,000 that Facebook reaches. Based on 5% conversion rate this would deliver 3 clients per month.

Mindful it had been one month, and they did not launch the campaign I contacted Google ads mid-June to learn more about their service. I then approached OMG and told them I was reluctant for them to continue with Facebook since they were having so much trouble with the setup and told them i wished to change direction either to use LinkedIn or google ads.

They told me that the couldn't service LinkedIn and I would reach so few with Google ads as the $400 per month fee would still apply and google ads would runover $6 for each click. I received weekly reports just how successful the Facebook ads were running boasting hundreds of hits on the landing page, but I never received even a single inquiry.

When I did my own spotty advertising on Facebook i would get responses on why I was contacting these individuals. Thus, after two weeks of such rosy reports I insisted on seeing the details on the landing page OMG set up and it was quite specific that i was reaching a random audience, which was when i cancelled them in writing, given them 30-days’ notice as required by my contract.

My contact at the company failed to notify the company for several days that I provided him with notice because he was hoping that things would change, and they hadn't. I spent $2,500 with them and never received even one interested party let alone one that retained my services.

Steer clear of them because they will tell you whatever they have to in order to close the deal. Despite everything that has happened, they billed me early and secured another $400 from me today 8/20/2022 despite my admonition it they did this I would spend all day writing about this firm and what they did.

I had no intended to waste my time doing this as I shared some fault not checking them out more carefully. Google is not charging me $400 per month for the service and not $199 for the setup. That's part of the $230 per click price, which was not the $600+ per click charge that OMG quoted me in June aimed at dissuading me to change course.

I did not receive the service or results that I was led to believe I would receive.

The most effective department in the company is the sales team. The sales team is persuasive and convincing, unfortunately nothing that they promised or asserted turned out to be. Every other department that I worked with was a crap shoot. The staff I encountered were professional, respectful, and courteous. However, they suffered from lack of knowledge and poor execution. There was absolutely no creativity: from copy, to visuals, to slogans, to images, to logo suggestions: all was initiated, created, written, and submitted by me. The staff couldn't even effectively copy and paste from one website to another. They were also technically challenged in that they were incapable of solving even the most basic problems. For example, their solution to having to insert code in an existing website was for me to provide them with my password. When I told them that I wasn't comfortable with exposing my confidential information, they couldn't come up with a solution. I offered that they dial into my PC to do it but for some reason, they didn't know how to do that. So, after a few days passing and seeing no results, after Googling "How to insert code" I suggested that thy give me the code to insert and it was completed in five minutes. Another example is that they wanted my PayPal password to set up PayPal on the site. Seriously?! Again, I was outraged that they would even ask for something like that. Again, I had to provide a solution. Yet, another example is of an incompetent employee telling me that I couldn't remove the link to OMG from the bottom of MY website! Moreover, he had the gall to threaten me (I took it as a threat). He told me that if I didn't allow OMG to host the site, I'd be charged over $2,000 dollars because I canceled the contract after six months!! As if none of that is enough, without fail, monthly reports were always late and showed no reasonable progress. Seeing that these are common occurrences, one would think that they would be well equipped with the knowledge and experience to resolve these matters but, sadly, that wasn't the case. Moreover, there was staff turnover without warning and without explanation, suddenly, I would be working with someone new and I would have to start over by bringing them up to speed.

Extremely Disappointed Law Firm

My law firm tried canceling with OMG after 2.5 months because we kept having to call them to get them to complete what they promised to complete in the contract. The contract traps you however, because it gives them 30 days AFTER you write in to complain to fix your issue... every single time. So essentially, if you do NOT keep calling in to tell them what they have to do, they don't have to do anything until you complain (and then they have 30 days to actually do their job as they were supposed to be doing from the beginning without being told!).

The client services manager I spoke with, Joe didn't even know what their contract said. I had to tell him where he could find their contract online and which section was relevant. omgnational.com/partner-… (7:2 is the termination section). When I asked if there was anyone else I could speak with (after 30 minutes on the phone of him saying the same things over and over again) he said "Um, not really."

The only "solution" they offered was to comp a month and then "show us they can do what they promised," while staying locked into our contract. Or to "let us" cancel but we still would have to keep paying until our contract was finished (so we pay and they keep doing nothing!?). No good law firm has the time to hold the hand of a company they are paying to get them to fulfill their part of the deal.

OMG NATIONAL ARE SCAM ARTISTS. I wish I could give no stars.

I signed up with omg national in May 2016 and they gave me lots of hope in doing great work for me but obviously it was empty promises. I had my website reformated from html to word press and they told me it would be about 2 to 3 weeks. What a big lie that turned out to be, it took them over 4 months to complete. I did not find the service to be adequate because i did not see much work done and i could never get in touch with anyone so i decided to cancel the end of August and move on. I told Kevin i did not want to continue with the SEO service because i did not see any progress and was not impressed by their speed of working. I told them not to charge my credit card anymore, 2 days later i saw a charge $399 and i ask kevin why did they charge me and he told me i could not cancel. I told kevin i would dispute this charge with the bank if they did not reverse the charge. I had to dispute this with bank of america and they put a block on the card against omg national.

couple of months goes by and i see another charge $399 on my credit card from this company omg national. I am still fighting this omg national company trying to get my money back. omg said they would mail me a check and i have not recieved anything in 2 weeks. I call again and tell them i never recieved any check from them and now they said they would send another check out. Here it is February 2017 and i still dont have my money back from omg national. I ask them if i could drive to plantation which is only 15 minutes from where i live to pick up the check and they told me no. I am so sick of the games this company has played with me. I have talked with my bank over and over about this and Bank of America is telling my to file a police report and take them to small claims court and sue them over this mess. I have had nothing but headaches from this company. Be smart and stay away from these scammers.

I have been in sales for 24 yrs in whch 22 of them i have been lucky to hold a managememnt or Officer/President. I have never in my 24 year's of working EVER had such LIES told to me by both the C.E.O Jesse Lubar and his foul mouth, unkept partner the C.F.O or (constant foul order) Mike Rappaport! I was called to come in for a manger position, but when i arrived and sat down with them they told me (they just hired the manager) O.KKK but then they told me after seeing my resume and my prior skills and achievment's told me they had a even better position that pay's more then the manager. I was of course interested and they told me i would be a (SR CLOSER) which mean's "i would get my own person who fronts (or makes calls to all the cold leads for me) and once they got someone interested in seeing a yext report (how there business looks onine visibility wise) they would then "flip the call over to me and i would then go over our services, do a demo by sharing my screen with him, and then try to close him on something that we told was going to help there business.

I started 2 day's later with another young man, Our first day we were handed a "pitch script" were told to read and memorize it and then were told to "play around with there program system so we could get use to it" HUH? NO TRAINING IN PLACE! NOTHING! literally here is the pitch here is our system if you have any question's ask one of your co-worker's! NO FRONTER, NO TRAINING AT ALL PUT iN PLCE FOR NEW EMPLOYEES, just here is the pitch statr calling these ICE COLD 7YR OLD LEADS and see how you do. Well thank god i had plenty of phone sales experience and all i had to do was figure how there system worked, the guy hat started with me was FIRED 3 day's after he started "because he did not have what was needed" HUH!! YOU JUST HIRED HIM 3 DAY'S AGO, DID NO TAINING, AND ITS SWIM OR SINK THERE! So after a week of making over 100 calls a day with leads so old i called one copany and the person i asked for "had PASSED AWAY 8 YRS AGO"! You figure they would get rid pf that lead bit no they just throw it back in a pool of leads up to 12 year's old.

When i asked about my Fronter i was told i was going to get right away i was told "untl you book a job there not going to give you one. Well after booing 4 job's i fronted and closed myself and asked about my fronter (after 6 week's of being there) I was told they were did not have enough so when they decide to hire more i would get one!!! HUH WHAT ABOUT WHAT I WAS TOLD AT MY INTERVIEW? Then the C.F.O MR Unkept, shower's once a week, and looks like Bart Simpson's cousin comes up to my desk and hs the nerve to say in front of the whole floor "how do you expect to make money only making 40 call's a day" After i explaines because i dont just hang up with a customer and call the next i write a personal e-mail thanking for tere time and ext.... He tells me "WE HAVE AUTOMATED EMAILS THAT GO OUT YOUR WASTING YOUR TIME" then i explained to this "not so smart C.F.O" It makes a big difference when a expected customer get's a personal e-mail that you took time out to write then some already made up Generic e-mail drip you have going out. Two day's later he called me in his office and "LET ME GO" for no reason, was never warned i was booking job's, coming in early, but because he did not call me in his office to tal to me like a normal boss he talks out loud near my cubicle where everyone can hear and i guess whe i gave him my answer how i was going to make money his EGO i think was hurt so he let me GO!

HORRIBLE COMPANY, Even there programs they try to sell to you by first scaring you by pulling up your company dirctories online and telling you how bad it is and how much business your losing, then they tell you "this month only" you also get a free HD 30 sec visdeo for your $499/mo for 12 month's but they will do 6 or even 3, Tey will break apart the program and take thing's out to lower the price. Basically you can negotiate price, or anything with thesse people ohhh and don't even PAY THE "ONE TIME $199 TECH FEE WHICH THEY TELL YOU IS TO BUY LICENCED SOFTWARE FOR YOUR COMPANY THATS A SCAM AND A LIE!!! $100 of your $199 fee goes to the employee as commission the other $99 goes t the company. PLUS THEY HAVE A HUGE CANCELLATION % Because allot of the employers lie about how much mre business your going to get (they just want that $100 ). Just a horrible experience not happy employees nothing but non-stop gossip about the owner's and co-workers ( unhealthy enviroment and unkept, disgusting owner or C.F.O the C.E.O Jesse is better but still lied out of his teeth when i interviewed and wasted 6 week's of me finding a career job DO NOT DO BUSINESS OR WORK WITH THESE SCAM ARTIST!

OMG National contacted my business many years ago soliciting an on hold message system for our business phones. I paid them $500 for the service and they could not get it to work.

They did not refund my money. After several attemps I gave up trying to get the refund. Yet they still bill me for an extended warranty and solicit me by phone on an annual basis. Each time they call I ask them to remove our business name and phone number from the call list. But they continue to call.

This company is a ripp off. Please do not fall for this solicitation.
