I went to their shop to get a estimate to install a VHF radio, on a new boat, I gave them my information so they could contact me later in the day, I also purchased a VHF antenna mount ($70), to use in the installation. I left, went home, waited for their call which never came of course.
After several hours of waiting for their call I decided to do it myself, the radio was new, looked pretty simple, and only had 2 wires coming out the back. I ran the wires in the CC through tha same hole that the GPS power line went through, predrilled 4 holes for the radio mounts 4 screws, put the screws in mount attached radio, hooked the wires to the +/- connections, radio was mounted, and working. Took me approxmantly 19 minutes. ( Oh yea I forgot the 2 small screws to hold the clip for the microphone, add another 30 seconds)
And we all know on top the 3.5 hour charge there would be shop supplies, disposal fees, and tax.
I was also upset enough I decided to return the $70 antenna mount, which I later found on Amazon for $34, free shipping, and next day delivery.
I also noticed on my bill they "forgot" to give me the military discount.
I'm pretty sure this will be my last time in there.
