Office for Civil Rights Reviews

  • Dec 20, 2020

The Office of Civil rights in Atlanta Ga. Refuses to take any action against my discrimination complaint against Walmart neighborhood market pharmacy. I have a discrimination case. I had no problems from my past 3 months of getting my medicine filled here. On 06/18/2020 I had dropped my son's eye cream they said they would fill it & it would be ready in 30 minutes.

I went back 30 minutes later after waiting 15 minutes in line. They told me it still wasn't ready & they didn't have it in stock. First, the pharmacy techs wanted me to drive back around, I noticed they never made anyone else drive around. I refused then they lied saying the date wasn't on the prescription. They have a problem with consumers sticking up for their rights.

I said no that I wasn't going to drive around & wait another 15 minutes, for them to tell me that it wasn't in stock. I told them to forget it I would go somewhere else. But my own medicine would be due next on 06/20/2020. This intern pharmacist answered the phone she said she would get my prescription ready in two hours. Because they had lunch.

2 hours went by she still didn't have it ready for my Xanax I figured I would call before going because of the incident with my son's medicine. -She started to cause me problems saying she could transfer it to another pharmacy. I did call the police due to her refusal to give me my medicine. I had no problems for the first 3 months.

She lied to them about the incident on 06/18/2020 that I was out of control freaking out. And of course, knowing how the phenix city police are they believed it. Then they came back all ugly toward me telling me this is a private business that they don't have to fill my prescriptions.

But the police didn't want to hear my side of the story. That I haven't had any trouble until now for the past 3 visits. This intern pharmacist caused me to lose my Doctor. I'm without a Doctor & getting low on my current medications.

I have a target on my head for some reason. For why I am having this type of trouble. I haven't done anything to anyone to deserve this type of treatment. The OCR was my last chance to get justice & they let me down. Then people want to tell me how does it feel. They are being allowed to take the law into their own hands and make people unjustly suffer for no reason.

United States Department Of Education, Office For Civil Rights Did Not Help Me At All! I filed a Legitimate, Complaint about being Discriminated By Pepperdine University back on Saturday, April 28, 2018 and was Very Much Angry And Disappointed that this such Government Office would reject and turn down my Case and/or Claim.

I had a feeling that they would regardless because they receive so Many Civil Rights Complaints and Can Only Take On Very Few Cases, however, I still Believe that My Case Had Merit. I sent them out a detailed complaint with documentation and they basically rejected it regardless. They claim that my case does Not Have Enough Evidence and/or Supportive Documentation and I still Disagree, but in any case, My Negative Reviews against Pepperdine University shall remain Permanent On Many Social Media Websites and Now, Unfortunately, I Must Now Do The Same For The Office For Civil Rights as well!

Enclosed, in the attachments, please find the response letter that I just received from Sara Berman, Team Leader and Dana Isaac Quinn, Civil Rights Attorney from the Office For Civil Rights back on Thursday, May 24, 2018 for your review and further reference. I am Not sure what the Office For Civil Rights does for the People Of The State Of California because they have done absolutely Nothing For ME! Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

I am immediately terminating your Residence Hall Contract. You will not be able to apply for housing on the campus of Southeastern at any point in the future. You are permanently banned from visiting any Southeastern residence hall. The termination of your residence hall contract is final and cannot be appealed".

After this happened to me, I began a search for some other attorney or organization to help me. I tried three attorneys, one with a full case load, another that did not call back after the consultation, and another that was honest enough to say that there is not going to be any attorney in the area that would be interested. (especially since it is a college town).

I should have gotten an attorney from Oklahoma City.

What made perfect sense at the time, was to report this to the U.S. Department Of Education. The only civil rights organization I found was "OCR". An investigative team at OCR opened the case, but they have very limited categories for civil rights violations. About two months into the investigation, there were a lot of delays. I was told that the SOSU has not responded. After that, I was told that the case load for OCR is overloading, that the investigative team's attorney had personal issues, and was also told once again that OCR is behind on their cases. After 16 months, OCR closed my complaint against SOSU, with the reason that "OCR does not have the authority to continue with the investigation". My case was not referred to any other attorneys or organizations.

If this was politics, I'd be wondering if Southeastern Oklahoma State University filibustered my complaint.

I don't think there are any attorneys that browse Rip Off Report, but if there are any people that have had problems in schools and colleges, you should take your complaint to a better qualified organization.
